The crowd turned to Emma, those who were already informed of the news no longer shocked, while those who just found out they were dating appalled. 

Emma looked down at her feet, hiding a blush.

James stifled a smirk, muttering, 'The ONLY girl I'd ever want as my queen, for that matter.' 

Marcus smiled at his son proudly, placing his arm on James' shoulder supportively before announcing, "THE CROWN PRINCE OF AMARIS, EVERYONE!" 

Another round of applause came, Emma applauding the loudest of them all, with the biggest grin on her face, the remains of a blush still evident. 

Lily and Connor approached her, their hands intertwined as they did so. 

"Emma, congrats," Lily congratulated.
