Everyone was beginning to leave, while Emma had already made her way back to James, which led to an awkward conversation. 

Emma had realized what she had been insinuating only after giving the speech, and even if she was teary, she was happy she put a strong front in front of the other royals. 

"James! I'm so sorry that I- 

James interjected. 

"No need to apologize, darling. I'm just so proud of you," he answered, beaming. 

Emma looked up at her boyfriend, who was a great deal taller than her. 

"You're not slightly upset that I had mentioned the idea of having kids?" Emma asked. She and James had never discussed it before. They hadn't even started talking about marriage. What more kids. Yes, they were at the right age to do so, but Emma was dead set on taking things slow.
