章 40: Chapter 40

Mistost lifted his hand and waved it around in the air in front of him. Seconds later, they were all standing in a round wood-panelled room. Flickering candles in sconces hung from the walls and the ceiling was high and domed. In front of them stood a large round table, its top intricately carved with fantastical creatures and scenes. "Please, do take a seat."

Amy and Taylor glanced at each other before pulling out a heavy wooden chair each and obediently sitting down. Geodhun flew to the middle of the table to perch on the several yellowing, rolled tubes of thick paper that lay stacked there. Mistost pulled out another chair and sat down opposite the two girls.

"What is this place" Taylor asked. She decided she liked the look of this room. It was mysterious without being scary and pleasantly dim without being dark. It looked like a wizard's room.
