Life-long handicap?
That day, when Gabby saved Jason, she did remember that it was difficult for him to walk. But, she never thought that Jason's injury would be this serious.
Seeing Gabby's wide-eyed startled eyes and pale face made Jason smile, "Geez, don't look at me like that, please. It's just a leg injury, I'm not going to die. "
Gabby looked away and saw Michael's gauze ankle.
If only he had come earlier, maybe Jason's leg could still be saved.
Jason sighed as Gabby didn't change the expression on his face. He moved his right leg, and a feeling of pain greeted him, which made the boy bite his lower lip.
"Ah, it hurts too. Well, I might not be able to walk on my two legs anymore, but that's okay. Besides, I also don't want to do that job anymore. Already tired." Jason said.
With a smile, Jason continued, "Gabby, I'm fine."
I don't know since when Gabby's eyes filled with tears, but her cheeks were slowly flowing with tears.
