章 1: Between
Life was peaceful for the PlaneWalkers, they were almost the perfect race. They may not have been as numerous as the humans, or as strong, but they made up for it in brain power. But life never goes as expected. Due to some research the humans were doing with creating artificial black holes, they managed to create a rift between two planes that were never meant to exist together.
As always the governments of the human world, the Omni Federation and the Life Federation, each controlling half of the world, wanted this new power for their own selfish gains. Until someone suggested that the PlaneWalkers be set to build a game world like never before. The Federations needed this to work. Overpopulation was becoming an issue with not enough resources to sustain everyone.
Because the humans' technology was lacking they figured that if the PlaneWalkers couldn't build something to emulate the real world then it would be impossible.
The two Federations promised to set free the PlaneWalkers if they managed to do this task.
So they set to work to find a solution to the problem they were given. With the time constraint of 10 years they had to work fast for fear of extincion of their people.

After 7 years they managed to come up with a way to put people into a cryo sleep and hook a machine into their neural pathways to emulate the real world. With 3 more years left to build the game they worked tirelessly hoping that they could go back to being free. They were prisoners. Only getting 3 meals a day and a two hour break everyday, while only ten hours of sleep, the rest was working on the project.

Now the year is 3040 and the game is ready. The PlaneWalkers were never set free and instead were forced to work in the game as NPC's alongside other convicts. Some have escaped from their work and were able to set up a sort of safe haven for their people. While some died trying. The Federations side a treaty to where all future conflicts will be solved inside the game. The world has been almost complete. All that's left is to implement the AI that is semi-sentient to be the god of the world. To insure fairness between both Federations.
But because they allowed the PlaneWalkers to build it all, they added some "hidden features" that only their people could access. The world that saved the world but in the process of bringing a race of people to near extinction. That would bring everyone together for fun and adventure.
