The guards at the Zale mansion were stunned to see the royal carriage approaching them. Already they were in dilemma for the situation in the mansion was anything but normal. Their Duke had not returned even after days had passed and their young master Killian had not stepped out of the mansion for days.

And Lady Eleanor. As soon as they thought about their lady, an uncomfortable feeling settled in their hearts. At first, nobody but the servants inside the mansion had found out about her sickness. However, soon the matter spread to everyone and the guards outside too found out about their lady's illness.

They had seen the physician travel to and fro from the mansion daily and from his expressions, some of the smart guards had deduced the situation to be critical. The mood around the mansion was too depressed and other than Lady Odalis, there was no one from the aristocratic family to command them.
