章 218: Farewell

Alastair stared at the scabbard in his hand while the old couple in front of him stared at him. Though it did not weigh much, to him, it felt as though it weighed more than anything he had ever lifted. He was in disbelief to think that it was the dagger that Samantha once used, and now she was going to reunite with it, after years of separation, just like she had with him.

"Alastair, son, this dagger is quite important and dear to Samantha and I hope you will hand it over to her soon. She will need it for the future that awaits you two." The old Queen said with a smile, and Alastair did not know what to say in return, except for asking a question that had invaded his mind since the time he had held the scabbard.

"Your Highness, I understand that this belonged to Samantha once upon a time. But why would she need it? Isn't she formidable enough to use her powers when required? Isn't she capable enough to protect herself without the involvement of any weapons?"
