"You are the angel, Samantha. You are going to save us from disaster in the future." Alastair bit his lip after he disclosed the truth to her and waited for her reaction. But Samantha sat still, her face blank and lost. Even their eyes lost their focus, and she seemed lost. Her disbelief was evident on her face, and Alastair realized Samantha's state of mind from her expression alone. She was in denial.

"Samantha," His voice was low and gentle and he held her hand. The moment he did so, both Alastair and Samantha felt tingles through their bodies. It was the same feeling they had experienced back at the library, and Alastair could not help but marvel at the way his heart was thumping loudly, waiting for the girl to accept who she was.

"Your Highness, I presume I heard you wrong." But Samantha was oddly calm, and Alastair could not comprehend her state of mind. "Did His Highness say that I am the angel you were looking for?"
