"Saorsa," Kenneth took the last name who would be granted a wish by the King, and everyone turned to look at the girl. The people who were wishing to get selected were disappointed by the outcome, and their shoulders sagged. But they masked their expressions quickly to not appear disrespectful before the man who held the power to end them in the blink of an eye.

Samantha too stared at Saorsa, and she was pleasantly stunned when she saw her smiling. It was as though the girl had expected the outcome, and she was waiting for it. Unable to stop herself, her gaze turned to the King, who too was grinning and Samantha frowned wondering if her eyes were playing with her.
