With the sounds of waves breaking and the sky slowly turning darker, Lucas waited patiently until Sara feel comfortable to speak. When she did speak, he was not sure whether he was feeling happy and excited or sad and depressed. 

"But I'm not comfortable to be in between you and your girlfriend…"

'Not comfortable? Is she rejecting me or is she jealous?' His sharp ears perked, trying to listen attentively.

"… I don't think this is the right thing for you to do? It's not fair for her..."

'What is she trying to say? Is it a yes? Or a no?'

"…Unless she knows you are in an open relationship…"

'Is she blathering or is she giving an opinion?'

"… I don't want to be labelled as boyfriend stealer. Because I'm not."

His eyebrows creased, hidden under his long blonde side fringe, looking so confused with her long-winded way of saying something. Even after all the lengthy roundabout, he was still not sure what she was trying to convey.
