They were aware that the man who was shot was their boss, the CEO of the Reyes Group. They wanted to see if they needed to delete all evidence that Cedric was in fact at Saints Hospital due to a gunshot wound.

"You need to make a statement." Miguel said as he marched into Cedric's room.

"I'll get back to you. Please wait for us to make a statement." Nicole said as she dropped the call. She looked up at her brother and glared at Miguel. "What do you think I'm trying to do? Somehow my number got leaked to the public and I've been trying to get reporters to wait for our statement." Nicole complained.
