"Can you tell me what's wrong?" he asked Lili as soon as it was just the two of them in the elevator. 

"Nothing much. I was just thinking of something, but don't worry, it doesn't involve you," she said with a small smile. 

Bobby looked at Lili in incredulity. He never felt this insulted in his life. He was worried about her for nothing, he thought, vexed. 

He furrowed his eyebrows lost in thought. In his vast experience, girls turned soft and mushy after being showered with things they all consider as romantic, such as a candlelight dinner on a rooftop overlooking the city nightscape. Furthermore, he knows for a fact that women basically love him no matter what he does.

Apparently not this girl. He shook his head thinking if he should start flexing his bank account. He grimaced inwardly with the flow of his thought. He sounds like a fucking loser in his head. 

Showing off his money to get a girl. Pathetic!
