The tree can absorb only enough mana to let a creature continue surviving and after that creature survive, it can slowly regain its lost mana before the tree absorbs all of it again

The mana that the tree will absorb is lower than what Caizher can absorb but it also means that Caizher will have a constant supply of mana

The Noble coated his hand with mana before picking up the seed and if one looks closely at it, they can see that the Octad's mana was slowly being sucked by the seed
