章 128: Dameon: Hints Of Vulnerability

I woke up to find the entire car freezing from how low Dameon had set the temperature. Not to forget mentioning that it was even set to full blast.

No wonder he was shivering in his seat as he faced the window while groaning in his sleep. I switched from the air conditioner to the heater option as I took off the jacket he had wrapped around me and placed it over his body.

He flinches in his sleep, mumbling incoherently as cold sweat trickled down his cheek. I wiped it off with my thumb, wondering what he was dreaming about to be wracked in cold sweat despite the temperature being awfully cold.

"Don't... Abandon... Me..." The only coherent word I managed to grasp as I leaned forward to try and wake him from his nightmare.

His sentence reminded me of the past when my mother apologized and patted my head, telling me she would return for me with tear laced eyes. I nodded with a look of understanding, but I had been begging for her not to leave.
