I tried to smile so as not to sound awkward whatsoever. " Thanks for the gesture, but I won't need these clothes. I'll be going home to change."

The maid looked disturbed as I said that. " What's wrong?" Why do you look troubled?"

The maid hesitated before saying, " His majesty is the one who sent these clothes, my lady." If you wouldn't accept them, I'd be in trouble."
