"If you come here to convince me to stay, you are wasting your time, Yun Zhen." She finally said with a quick glance towards him after the long silence between them. She ignored how his face fell upon hearing her answer.

"Is there anything I could do to change your mind?" He asked, his eyes flashed with determination to negotiate with her. If there's a chance that he could convince her, he would do so. While he respected Su Jingyi's wishes, he wasn't ready to accept her resignation prematurely.

What he liked the most about Su Jingyi was that she wasn't a petty and selfish person. She was a reasonable person who would try to see the best in the situation they were in before she made a decision.
