章 89: Slow and Steady

NICK POV

He watches you as you turn around and look at his ankle. He can only see your back that is turned to him but he can see by your body language that you are not happy with what you are seeing. He knows that he needs to brace himself for whatever follows. 

He feels that the pain is unbearable and he can not keep the pain inside anymore. So, then it must mean that this is a very serious injury. Then you also give him this long speech about how he should not be afraid of what you are going to tell him, and then he knows that it is much more serious than he thought. He takes a deep breath and then answers you.

"Doc, I am ready"

"Are you sure?"

"Maybe you can just hold my hand?"

He knows he sounds like a little boy that is going to the dentist for the first time with his mommy but he just can not help feeling that it is going to be really bad. He also knows that if you are by his side it would not be so bad
