章 47: Chapter Forty-six

♦Neruda's POV♦

It starts to burn but I'm a Hellhound, I can deal with a little heat.

Well, that's another thing to cross off my bucket list, getting bitten by a vampire, it's actually not as horrific as I thought other than the occasional pain searing through my neck, it's not bad at all.

Vaguely I wonder how long it's going to take, I'm not feeling dizzy so I guess I'm not running low on blood, yet.

Cyril stops drinking too soon and slides off my leg to fall in a heap beside me. "Is that enough?' I blink open my eyes to ask.

He gives an indistinct sound of affirmation, curling to his side.

"Are you in pain? Do you want to throw up?" I ask quickly, starting to panic.

He just shakes his head and let out a soft groan. "What the fuck is wrong with your blood?" He finally spits weakly.

"What?" I ask, getting more worried.

"It's so fucking hot." He closes his eyes like a wave of heat burns through him.
