章 6: Chapter Five
Monique's pov
I wake up to Lilian shaking me, everything around me is blurry but I can see that Lilian is motioning for me not to make a noise. I stifle my groan and look around trying to make more sense of what is going on around me.
I see her waking up the others and also motioning for them not to make a sound. Then I almost jump when I hear a noise. I know it is not my group of friends since they are still trying to wake up.
I hear the leaves ruffle as something moves within it. I'm really afraid right now but it's not like we have somewhere to run or hide. I decide to slowly and stand up trying not to make any noices when I hear a sob coming from the bushes.
I slowly walk over to the sound of someone crying, as I get closer I start to slow down even more untill I saw a strand of very fimiliar blond hair that belongs to a 10 year old and she happens to be my boyfriends little sister.
I was shocked and didn't knoe what to do or say. The others where still trying to wake up and calm their nerves since I was crazy enough to walk up to a noice in the dark and a unknown place.
After a few minutes of just standing there and staring at her, I walked up to her and sat down next to her, comforting her telling her that she is gonna be okayy and that she's not alone anymore.
We sat in silence for a while untill we saw the sun starting to rise. I stood up offering her a hand to helo her up aswell, as soon as she got up Nathan rushed to us with a worried face.
"Why are you here??? You are supposed to be at grandma's house!!!" Nathan said a little harder than he meant to and that only caused Leah to start crying again, but this time harder and with more pain in those beautiful greenish-blue eyes of hers.
"Did you really have to raise your voice like that?" I asked vurious that he made her cry again.
"I'm sorry, but I was scared and shocked that she's here cause even we don't even know what type of dangerous things might be here with us." Nathan said with a worried and apologetic voice but it still wasn't nessessary to shout at her like that.
He walked up to Leah, gave her a tight hug and said that hes sorry for shouting. We went back to the rest of the group and asked her how she got here and why she was here.
She told us that she followed us after accidently hearing our conversation about going on the trip, because she didn't want anything to happen to Nathan without having the change to try and save him or be there for him when he would need it most.
"Isn't that something that Nathan should be doing? You're a bit to young to want to try and save someones life." Nicky said and it looked like tears forming in her eyes, but we all know she will never admit to anyone that she cried.
We all hugged her and then began building the rafts from vines and branches we got on the small piece of land that was visible.
The rafts came out perfectly, but it was already getting late so we will have to wait untill tomorrow to get them into the water and continue our search for the key and the way out.
Like last night we gathered extra wood for fire, caught some fish and picked some fruits and berries for food.
We came across a banana tree and used the huge banana leaves for warmth when we went to go sleep.
I was busy having a pretty good dream when suddenly I just woke up out of the blue. When I looked around to see if everyone is okayy I saw that Leah and one of the rafts was missing.
I got up and started looking around to see if maybe she was hiding somewhere, but I couldn't find her or the missing raft anywhere.
