章 132: A price to pay

The last thing that Mary could remember was her life flashing before her. The last thoughts she had were that of Hero's safety. She hardly cared about what will happen to her. But she needed Hero to live. 

Those were the last glimpses of the things that had crossed Mary's mind before she was plunged into nothing but darkness. She had no idea what happened nor how she ended up hurting all over when she found herself waking up seeing glimpses of fluorescent lights above her. It also appeared that she was being transported somewhere.

It took her a moment before realizing that an oxygen mask was placed on her nose. Her vision was unsteady. The next time that she had opened her eyes, her mother's face was what welcomed her. She was obviously worried. The brows on her mother's face were furrowed.
