章 59: Retrieved Body
When grand duke Karsten goes back to the camp with his unconscious son in his arm. Everyone was so surprised.
"Your Excellency! What happen!"
Grand Duke Karsten wave his hand: "Go with others, keep twenty meters away."
"Ah?"
"Just do what I order if you don't want to die."
Grand Duke Kasrten entered the tent and lay the body of his son on the bed before transmitting an order to his brain through his adopted father who is probably staying in the grand dukedom to do his paperwork.
After that, he cast a level twenty barrier.
Though he knew it was not enough but at least it can cover up his son's strong mana.
——On the grand dukedom, the head butler and Excellency Daimon who heard the news were surprised and they immediately run underground full of uneasiness.
The body on the bed is the body of seven years old boy.
It has a delicate look, a round face, and chubby cheeks. Because of magic despite being an empty shell it still has this glow of looking like a sleeping kid. Seeing his little grandson, Excellency Daimon looks excited, expectant, and at the same time worried.
What about his adopted son? They're in the middle of the war and such an incident happens.
"Your Excellency, how long will it take?"
"Katnier said that the body has no conscious, and the two souls are probably colliding, all we need is to guide it so we must cooperate with the other side to avoid losing the soul of my grandson."
The head butler and Excellency Daimon waited.
They keep staring at the body on the bed and the small magic circles around one by one, slowly disappearing. Excellency Daimon who receive another message from Katnier close his eyes and started to cast a spell. The head butler who is watching by the side is so nervous.
The eldest would awaken and the youngest will be back in its original body.
He hopes nothing would go wrong.
——Waiting for an hour, when the last magic circle disappears the head butler stares at the body with teary eyes. Excellency Daimon who is mind communicating with Katnier breathed a sigh of relief and ended the spell.
In a minute, the body flinches.
Khalil slowly open his eyes and saw an unfamiliar bed.
"My baby grandson! Finally, you are back!"
Khalil feels dizzy, he wanted to ask his grandfather but when he opens his mouth there are no sounds coming out of his mouth. Excellency Daimon patted his grandson and said to the head butler: "Hurry, clean the bedroom of my baby grandson, staying underground is not good."
The head butler hurried to move.
Excellency Daimon carries his baby grandson who is currently had no ability to speak and walk. He exits the underground room and stays in the office first, not letting go of Khalil.
The servants who saw Excellency Daimon carry a child out of an underground room were petrified. In just a few minutes gossip circulated around about the hidden illegitimate son of the grand duke that Excellency Daimon pick up after the young master and grand duke went to war.
Khalil still couldn't get over it.
It happens so suddenly when his brother pushed out his consciousness, telling him he's getting back his body.
He was caught off guard that he didn't manage to react.
Now, he realizes that he has really gone back.
"Khalil don't be afraid."
Khalil's long eyelashes trembled and his chubby pinkish cheeks highlighted his charm. Seeing his cute grandson, Excellency Daimon couldn't help but pinch with a little force making Khalil frown, thinking that his grandfather is trying to bully him.
——On the other side, Grand Duke Karsten vomited blood.
He was heavily damaged by his son. He thought he was already prepared but he didn't expect the impact to be so strong that he immediately lost half of his strength.
Kaizer who woke up stare at his father with an expressionless face.
"Father, why do you look ugly?"
Grand Duke Karsten gritted his teeth: "Stinky child, you are really my debt collector in this life!"
Kaizer sigh: "It's not good for your body to be angry. You're so old, what would my little brother do if you die? There's no way I'll arrange your funeral."
Grand Duke Karsten stood up.
"If you don't want me to get angry, don't open your mouth."
Kaizer grinned.
He finally woke up and see his father personally, he didn't expect his father to be so ugly. Fortunately, he is good-looking despite having an ugly father, or else he wouldn't be able to seduce his wife! It's a great sin!
"I'll go out, don't make trouble. Make sure to make your soul and body compatible."
Kaizer watches his father walk out of the tenth.
Seeing that he was the only one, Kaizer let out a tsk and placed his hand on his chest and a golden magic circle appeared so fast and slowly disappeared. After that he stood up and move his limbs, trying to see if he can control his body at his will.
It's been a long time since he possessed a human body.
He is a bit unaccustomed but immediately adapts.
After hours of walking around the tenth to test the body, he became satisfied so he step out of the tenth and walk towards the portal, wanting to meet his wife. But before he could teleport, his father appeared and drag him back inside the tenth and said, "Outside is a warzone, did your soul already adapt to be capable of using your strength and magic?"
Kaizer rolls his eyes and pushes his father's hand.
"Go away." and he fixes his collar.
Grand Duke Kasrten suddenly feels helpless, now that his youngest is not beside him he is stuck with this grumpy cat who refuses to listen.
"Don't prevent me. I'm going to meet my wife."
Grand Duke Kasrten gritted his teeth: "You call someone wife, I'm afraid you will get beaten."
"Not really because I always kill my wife."
"And why do you always kill your wife? Is that how I teach you? Also, who is this wife you are talking about? You have been in deep slumber are you hallucinating now?"
Kaizer raises his chin: "My wife, before being coveted by someone, I kill him so he can't look at others and also remember me, his feeling...love, hate and everything, it can only be expressed to me. Also, Father, don't be stupid, didn't Khalil tell you? Eugene is his future sister-in-law. So when I marry him back you must show respect."
Grand Duke Kasrten wanted to hit his son but couldn't do it.
His son is stronger than him, he's afraid he'll be the one going to be beaten.
"You just awaken and your mind is a bit cloudy."
Kaizer frown: "Old man, are you saying I'm talking nonsense?"
"No, what I'm saying is that it's impossible for Eugene to fall in love with someone like you."
Kaizer smirked and said with a hint of proudness in his voice: "Too bad Father, I love him and he hates me, the feeling is not mutual but we are meant to be."
Grand Duke Kasrten looks at his son as if looking at someone stupid.
"I'm afraid your brain is broken."
——In the warzone, Eugene is still standing in the same position.
When the fog disappear he saw the enemy soldier's dead body but the soldiers on their side is intact which made everyone surprised as they look at their own bodies. Even Casimin and Rasiel, they thought they will die because of Eugene's ruthlessness but when the magic activate and explode, they're not been affected and they just stood and block their face from the fog and stones that flew everywhere.
The surrounding became quiet and the enemy soldier are all dead.
Looks like, they will reach the Biscotti Kingdom in just one month. Looking at the sandy ground, the blood sips out of the body of the dead. Though not afraid, thinking about the impact of the spell made them shiver and they all look at Eugene as if looking at a monster.
Duke Del Viltaria who is hugging Marquis Shradinza when the magic activates slowly lets go and looks at his son with a hint of anger.
Duke Del Viltaria: "Eugene Shradinza you will refrain from joining the battle for one month! This is a punishment for endangering your comrades. Now go back to the camp and tell the Grand Duke your mistake!"
Eugene looks at the Duke and chuckles.
It's actually fun. It's quite fun seeing their panic and devastated expressions as if it's the last time they would see Artha. Somehow, he feels pleasure seeing the strong feel helpless in a situation of absolute death. But he's not that stupid to create a spell that would wipe out the place or the empire's people. Casimin is on the battlefield, he won't kill his brother.
That's their only assurance.
As long as Casimin is standing with them, there won't be any danger.
Shrugging, he turns around and walks toward the portal in a hurry, wanting to confirm his guesses but when he teleported he saw the camp is deserted which made him question what happen when the Grand Duke got here.
Since the enemy soldiers that are present are dead, the army also goes back.
It's also thanks to Eugene that they could rest early so they're not that angry, unlike the Duke who is the most concerned about them. So when they go back to the camp they was also greeted by a deserted place which makes them wonder if their camp was ambushed by the enemy.
But in the next second, the grand duke stepped out of the tenth and look at them.
"The army had gone back, what happen?"
Duke Del Viltaria said with an ugly expression: "The enemy are all dead."
Grand Duke Karsten shows his surprise and wonder.
"Eugene activated the magic circle but it's not what you think. The Nacos was not destroyed and it only aims the enemy. In short, the magic spell is a feigned attack so there is a huge explosion that fake the situation."
Grand Duke Karsten frown: "That's a bit crazy."
Duke Del Viltaria sighed: "I know, I thought we will all die with the enemy. Fortunately, we are safe and only the enemy's side suffers. Even so, it's just too much for a false alarm so I ban Eugene from joining the battle for one month."
Grand Duke Karsten: "The enemy soldiers are dead, the next group or armies will probably arrive too, let's take this time to rest and be ready for the next attack."
"Yes."
Duke Del Viltaria supported his lover who is still dazed. Seeing Aison looking so traumatized, Arkiton was dissatisfied with his son's reckless behavior.
——Eugene is hiding not too far from the groups and he watches the grand duke exit the tent.
After they walk away, Eugene walks out and steps towards the tenth where he can feel the familiar aura of someone. Standing outside, Eugene grinned and enter the tent.
Kaizer knew that someone is entering.
The familiar aura of his wife calm him down so he sat down on the bed and wait.
When Eugene enters, the two look at each other. Seeing that his good-for-nothing lover really awaken, he approach Kaizer with a sweet smile and drew his sword, piercing it on Kaizer's chest at a quick speed and said: "Husband, long time no see."
Kaizer didn't dodge and let the blade penetrate his body before pulling Eugene by the hand and letting him sit on his lap. Eugene let go of the sword and Kaizer grabs it, pulling it out of his body.
The wound self-healed.
This made Eugene's face darken.
"Good wife, your greeting never failed to amaze me."
Eugene snort and slap the handsome face of the person before him and said: "Your dirty hand love to touch my body, I think it needed to be cut off."
"How can you cut it off? This hand can pleasure you."
"Well, this hand is not needed, aren't you proud of your little brother below?"
Kaizer laugh and said while holding Eugene's cheek, "Wife, be good. Wait for us to grow up, I'll make sure you won't be able to get off our bed in the future."
Eugene's still had an expressionless face.
He slaps Kaizer for the second time and grabs the other party's hair in anger.
"I swear I will not only cut your dirty hand but also your lower half!"
Saying that Eugene push Kaizer away and stood up.
"Be careful, I might come in your sleep and kill you."
Kaizer licks his lips.
"You come at night to kill me, before that let's play in bed first hmm?"
