After she was certain that she had calmed her tensed nerves, she strolled towards the door with her black chained handbag hung on her left shoulder.
Opening the door, Jennifer stared at Stephanie intently as if she was seeing her for the first time.
Her intense stares made the already nervous Stephanie more nervous than she was.
"Why?... You don't like what I am wearing?" Stephanie asked. She lowered her head and peered at the flared dress which stopped on her knee.
She tried to find anything wrong with the dress that she might have missed earlier but couldn't find any.
Why is she staring at me like that?... Does she perhaps think I am overdressed for the occasion... but I didn't want to put on those monotonous black outfits I have in my closet.
Stephanie forced a smile and tried not to make it obvious that she was nervous.
