章 71: Another Way

Margaret's POV

We returned to Paradise the next morning after that b***ch left for work. It was too risky to leave that woman with the kid, even though Chloe did volunteer to keep an eye on her. However,  I told her to come with me because I needed to discuss something with her, so Oliver went to look after her instead.

I found Ken lying still on the bed once I entered our room. Of all the time I knew him, the only time I ever saw him this upset was after he died, perhaps he was even more upset back then. Did seeing that woman murder those people like that really hit him that hard, or did something else happened to him on his way here as well? I had a guess what that something else could be, but I decided it's best not to bother him about it.

"Are you okay"? Chloe, who however thought differently, asked him.

"Yeah, I am fine. I am just...a bit exhausted. Can I stay back today as well"? He asked softly with a gloomy expression
