章 8: Chapter 8: Questions
It was a comfortable night. Peterson was baking bread and preparing soup for dinner. Fiona was still sitting on the old arm chair. Moon raised, it was little pale but full and could be seen through the window in the corner.
"Dinner is ready" said Peterson.
Fiona got up and said, "oh thank you,I am starving."
Both went to the dining room, and Fiona sat on one of the chair. The chair was covered with dust. It looked liked, nobody has cleaned them from a while but the table looked clean. Mr. Peterson might have done it just now before serving dinner. Mr. Peterson sat down and asked "You may start the dinner, my child."
They both ate for a longer time, but quietly just like the night was. After dinner, Fiona cleaned up the dishes
Mr. Peterson didn't stop her from doing the dishes, he was so old to say anything. Fiona asked Mr. Peterson, "Can I sleep in Smith's and my room"
"This shouldn't be asked, it is your house, my kid. You can do what you want to do." Replied Mr. Peterson.
"Oh thank you very much, Mr. Peterson." said Fiona and she went up stairs
"GOOD NIGHT!" Mr. Peterson wished her and went to sleep.
Fiona was now again alone, laying in bed. Her eyes were hurting. She couldn't close them. She was thinking about Smith, with smile. Time passed, it was now early dawn. Fiona didn't sleep. She got up, came downstairs. She took Mr, Peterson's coat and went out. It was cold and windy but she start walking to the cemetery. Smith's grave was near. She reached sooner than the usual.
Fiona sat near Smith's grave and started crying.
"Why did you leave me?"
"Why did you die?"
"How can you left me like that?"
"I was uniformed"
"Oh God! Do not make an answer, my last wish. I will survive but it is killing me alive that I don't know the reason, why they left."
"Why?"
