章 25: Exemplary or Downfall Part 2

Clara POV

I walked towards Artirian, as I saw him as a talented person. I also think that I like him for what he, and for what he is doing one of it is the helping for poor citizens of Moon Scar. When I first saw him at the rooftop of a house at that time. I was struck by his eyes especially as he watched me fight and when I raided the orphanage by myself.

I was surprised to see him as the so-called leader of The Flying Dagger. He was infamous though from the words of the poor he was like the robin hood of the city of Moon Scar.

I stand in front of him and told him I was the hooded woman who attacked the orphanage and I was shocked when his eyes turn red his aura change drastically like a monster beneath the Angel like aura he is expressing towards me earlier. I was unable to speak nor seek help I was just there standing, frozen in front of him. I slowly moved backwards as I can feel Artirian infamous mist of black.

I was scared of my life, but the only thing I said is that I am the hooded woman. I didn't mean to cause so much ruckus on that day. I was also protecting the children that was my utmost plan. but as I looked at him he was different then I shouted at him "ARTIRIAN STOP YOU'RE SCARING ME!!" with a loud tone of voice.

Artirian would go back to his senses when I shouted those words. He would fall on the chair looking at me. A droplets of tears came down from his cheeks to the ground. I was not prepared to see what I saw from him, It was different. He was different...

Artirian POV

"I am angry… I am angry for my fellow brother that is why…" If it weren't for you my brethren in arms would not die. "IF YOU WERE NOT THERE MY FRIEND WOULD NOT DIE!" Artirian eyes became furious his eyes also widen. His words became like spitting venom out of his mouth.

Clara was shaking and frightened at what she saw from Artirian eyes. She has assumed that Artirian has been possessed by a Beast that's why she shouted " ARTIRIAN STOP YOU ARE SCARING ME!". As I heard her voice echo through my eardrums, I suddenly came back to my senses and my body came back to being tired and fatigued because of the previous battle. "Ugh" I left out a soft sigh before fallin on the chair.

I looked at Clara eyes they were puffy and also her eyes were holding the tears and soon tears were dropping on the floor. I was shocked... I didn't mean that to happen my emotion has taken over me and that is why the sword took me over easily. Luckily she shouted at me like that, or else I have gone mad maybe I have gone berserk. I hold her hand and then pull her in a hug.

I can feel my chest getting wet from her tears. I can hear her cries as I hold her close. I felt different when she hugged me. It felt different when I first held her hand. I became so emotional I also cried as few tears would go across my cheeks.

Soon she would hug me tight, as she cry on my chest. And I would whisper in her ears with a gentle tone of voice "How long would you still hug me mhm...". She replied with "can I stay like this for awhile I wanna hear your heartbeat and I really felt comfortable when I hugged you Artirian. It felt like we met for a long time and once again meet. This what I am feel right now so please… just right now.. I just wanna hug you this tight." I would feel the coldness of the wind and the warmth of her hug.

But right now is not the time for love. It's not the time to hold back in my plans. Soon I would remove her hug and look at her eyes. "How come you really felt comfortable with me is this how you repay for what you did in the orphanage" I would ask while looking at her yes.

I know the eyes is the gateway to read if the person is lying or telling the truth. She replied with a soft gentle tone of voice " Umm- Yes, I wanna also give you a hug because- it is my fault that someone died and I also ruined your operation that night. But for you to know I really wanted to help you at that time..it's just it happen in a bad timing" After saying those words I was shocked, I felt her sincerity when she said that. I can't believe it myself that I was famous in the 4th section I was famous for removing the criminal syndicate that runs and holds the black market in the City. I really didn't know about that because I was really focused on making the Flying Daggers and also make it grow make it professional and able to help other in need. The operations that the Flying Daggers would do when I be able to do will be extremely improving, once I come back again as the leader.

I replied with a gentle tone of voice while wiping her tears from her cheeks. " Clara, you are different, you are unique from the girls I met. Thank you, that you were there helping us and if you weren't there maybe I would also lose I some of my brothers too. Luckily you engaged that knight at that night I was thankful you beaten that guy." After saying those words I smiled.

I would remove her hug and go back to the chair to get some rest.After few minutes I would get up and get some loaf bread to eat before I would meditate.

Artirian would hold his bokken sword and put it at his back slinging it and he would try to meditate with his body and soon he would feel a surge of gallant force that was going into his body. As he focused into his core he would see that it was trying to exert more force and would have some mix of black and orange a bit of vibrant of orange and red with a mix of black. Then with a misty dark orange aura engulfing Artirian he would then break through to the dark orange core.

Then after a few hours, he would come back. He would feel he was much lighter and the fatigue was already gone. Also the small pain that he would feel aching on his whole body that is located on his left rib was also gone. Then the gong would be heard, around the arena as both teams would go to each of their sides. before saying goodby to Clara he would wink at her and unfortunately Clara was on the other team which had a black stone or group A. After being all summoned in the middle of the arena John one of the scouts guild instructors would give a few instructions before the team's fight would begin. With a loud voice " Alright! gents we expect a clean fight you can either kill your enemy or make him wounded. I expect this to be a real fight because in a real scout situation there are only two options: either live or you die. So choose wisely! NOW go back to your sides.".

Each of the team would elect group leaders and a Leader. The group elected the leader which was given to the muscular tanker Calabarzon he is a tanker position leader he is also a good choice that is why half of the team agree that he would be the leader. While the group leaders were elected by Calabarzon. Then the group leaders who was chosen by Calabarzon would be Kagayanan, Cardo, and lastly Dela Cruz. After that election Artirian would be in the team of Dela Cruz as a speed attacker and also a flanker.

Then the team would be composed of 4 flankers and Artirian as a speed attacker. Then as they look at Artirian they would still be uncomfortable with him because of what they saw on the earlier fight that Artirian was exemplary at fighting his enemies. But from what the other know it is not only the fight but also they want to know the true Artirian behind the mask

Artrian POV

I would grip my bokken sword and unsheathe it as I prepared my footings and I also checked my gear as I would think in aiming for the others and also for the flankers who would try to eliminate us. I am also prepared to intercept those speed attackers as I would left a soft sigh. I would fix my mask so it would be surely not going to fall when I engage into a fight.

As I looked at the other members of team B they were all prepared to fight their gears was exemplary and rather some have top notch. As the gong sounded, our team would push forward engaging the squad 1 and squad 2 of both flankers and speed attackers from the other team.

Soon I would clash swords with a flanker his grip was not that hard enough that's why it flew up in the air when I try to slash it hard. His sword was quite intimidating but as he held his sword I think I can have the upper hand.I would continue to strike left and right try to break his defense but he was also good handling dual swords.

Both proficient in using both of them but that is why he is also a challenge for me. As I swing my sword to the left and and counter with right our swords would clash (cling clang swoosh cling cling clang) As I swing my bokken sword to the left the enemy would deflect it and strike from the right as I would blocked it then when I swing my sword to the right he would block it but I would return it with an extra force, as he we continue to clash my enemy would weaken then in a hard blow his sword chipped and then I slashed him though his chest down to his stomach while cutting through his armor.

As I see it the blood would spurt out and I can see the blood bursting out of his body, Then I would look back as another enemy coming charing infront of me as he tried to slash me from my left should but luckily would already deflect his attack.

As I learned from one of my father's company leaders (sherwood) his swordsmanship was proficient enough to cut down almost a hundred foes that what I dream off is to gain more experience and to create my own sword techniques.

Our clash continued until I saw a hole beneath his defense seeing his weakness I would thrust my sword in the left rib and wounding him then followed by a swing through his neck lacerating as blood would spray on the ground and the attacker would choke to death.

The enemy would spurt more blood on the ground when I pulled the sword. the blood would become a mess as it I also been in contact with it. One of the medical staff would pick up the enemy body and as soon that ended two more enemies were charging to me.
