When I woke up the next morning, I immediately changed into whatever dress I could find in my closet and combed my hair into a slightly bearable mess, setting off only a few minutes later. It was a sunny day, a little too warm for my liking, but it was no time to complain about the weather. There was a much, much more pressing matter to be concerned about.
"Maggie! Maggie!" I shouted the name, knocking furiously on her door. She took longer than usual to open the door, possibly only waking up now as it was only the time of dawn. There was a rattle, and then there she was, standing with her hair in a bigger mess than mine.
When she opened her door and found me outside, she groaned, wanting to go back to sleep already. "Honey, don't you know it's a sin to wake someone up this early? It's yet the business hour, so come back when—"
