章 44: Keep running

"So you don't show any emotions because you don't feel anything?" I questioned him again. This time he didn't reply for a few seconds.

For a moment he looked like me.

For a moment I saw pain in his eyes.

Just for a moment I saw a storm of emotions swirling through his mesmerizing eyes.

Then it was calm again.

Calm like a deep sea after the storm passes.

Calm like the person who lets out his last breath.

I think I knew his secret...

After staring at me for a while he let out a humorless chuckle. The laugh didn't reach his eyes. It was hollow. 

"No, I feel them but I keep running." he gave me a twisted answer.

"Keep running?" I didn't understand what he meant.
