章 15: Chapter fifteen
He is just in love
Eric's Father said "are you not going to school, I don't want you to fail and blame it on me."
Eric said "I apologize for yesterday, I don't get why you didn't tell me."
Eric's Father said "I was ashamed just didn't want you looking at me differently."
Eric said "you're my father, your past you can't change it, what I don't get is you preaching to people, that lord took away our sins, meaning no room for guilty, shame and that God's grace did it for us, yet you're standing here with shame unresolved issues. "
Eric's Father said "it's easy to preach to people than practising it, like you pointing out my shortcomings, how I fail to do what I preach."
Eric said "that's not my place to judge, just wondering why we are here, why didn't you trust me?"
Eric's Father said "life is complicated, when you grow up get to my age, you will see how things are, not easy being a parent you make mistakes and hope your children will forgive you and do better."
Eric said "I hear you, where is mother?"
Eric's Father said "left very early"
Eric said "I'm guessing she is out there praying that Laura is not your daughter and that no one else should know."
Eric's Father said "she will be fine, can't change the facts will have to deal with the truth. "
Eric said "how if she does not want to, and dealing with it include getting to know Laura as your daughter, I don't think she will like that."
Eric's Father said "well, I just can't ignore the fact she is my daughter she has my blood."
Eric: take it easy, she is still at hospital dealing with this so you will have to wait."
Eric's Father said" just can't believe john hid all this from me years of not knowing my daughter."
Eric said "I can, you can't expect him to let his daughter have a relationship with you, and he was protecting his daughter."
Eric's Father said" I get it but I will have to see John Black and talk about the past."

Parker said "I hear you have been visiting Laura at the hospital."
Jakes said "so, you want to visit her too"
Parker said "what happened to you man, you were cooler than jerry, now he is the king here while you're busy playing Romeo and Juliet with Laura that weird girl.
Jakes said "she is not weird."
Parker said "maybe, I should tell everyone especially jerry who used to bully you and make fun of you, that you didn't break his record, no one really wanted to hang out with you, you spend dollars on them and they pretend to have been with you," I have been with many girls " just a lie"
Jakes said "just shut up, if you dare do it be prepared to pay me my money back, your fees that my father pays, oh you forgot about that."
Parker said "I won't, that's Laura's fault she is messed up now ruining you."
Jakes punched him.
Parker said "you can throw punches, not money only."
Becky said "what are you doing Jakes?"
Jakes said "just stay away from me, I'm done with all of you."
Emily said "what did Parker do now?"
Jakes said "I can't be your friend and hang out with all of you, I'm done being someone I'm not."
Becky said "Go Jakes, you do you boo."
Emily said "Shut up, how can you be so blond don't you have brains."
Parker said "she is blond and dumb, not all blonds are like her."
Becky said "I'm not really blond, I dye my hair."
Emily said "we are not interested, Parker tell me why Jakes punched you
Becky said "isn't that obvious, Laura."
Parker said "Jakes is stupid and this time we won't take him back, I am so done with him. He threatened me, he forgets what I did for him, when that punk jerry was humiliating him."
Becky said "he is just in love, wouldn't you do anything to be with someone you love?"
Emily said "love, Jakes is just confused and dealing with his mother's death."
Jakes went to see Laura at the hospital
Laura said "what happened to you?"
Jakes said "I got in a fight with Parker."
Laura said "fighting with your friends now."
Jakes said "I don't want to talk about that, tell me some good news."
Laura said "I will be discharge today, good news is I'm getting my own place, will rent a cheap flat and be independent that's what I always wanted not like this but what can I say."
Jakes said "the doctor said you're well enough to go."
Laura said "he said I am doing well I need to put on weight, no stress."
Jakes said "that's great, why are you leaving your family now, you are close to the exams and graduating next year why not wait?"
Laura said "My father doesn't want me there, all my life he would threaten me that I will sleep on the streets, he would give me 50 dollars to go and buy a dad, if I think he is that horrible I was just a kid when this happened and now I am grown."
Jakes said "I don't know want to say."
Laura said "what can you say, I would tell myself that is alcohol talking even when he is sober just cruel man."
Jakes said "you can come to my place, my father won't mind."
Laura said "Thank you, but I will manage have savings can pay rent for few months hopefully I will be working at my dream company soon, writing articles on weekends and studying can be exhausting."
Jakes said "you work hard all of that I could not do, how you balance all of that?"
Laura said "simple, don't sleep for more than 8 hours and be organized."
Jakes said "I need my rest, too much sleep before I work for my father next year and it will be hectic."
