章 33: Fool!!

"Before we talk anything, there is one more thing that we or rather I have to do."- Li jie said and then removed the finger on her lips.

"huh? What is it? Did you forget to pack anything else?"- asked xioaxi who didn't have any idea of what her husband was talking about.

Folding his hands in front of his chest, he questioned her "so, you are not going to let me taste the food you cooked for me?"

Smiling at him, "of course, I will. I made it for you. I thought you will eat it before we leave to meet your friends. But we left just like that."

Suddenly something flashed in her mind, "do you think the food is still there. Mom, dad and everyone already had their dinner"

Patting her head, he smiled "don't worry. I am sure mom would have some for me to it. Let's go and see?"

Nodding her head, xiaoxi and li jie went towards the kitchen.

Meanwhile at the restaurant:

From the moment he knew that Ling will be going on a blind date, joseph couldn't control his emotions and ended up drinking too much.

Ling who was observing him found it weird as he is the one in the group who drinks less but now, he is super drunk and the weirdest part is he is not even looking at her which he always does. Whenever they are together, he would always stare at her but when she gave him an eye contact, he used to turn his head to avoid her eye contact.

But after she came from the restroom, he didn't even give her a glance except the one glance he gave her as soon as she entered the room.

When everyone got up and were ready to leave, usually joseph will be the one who will take an initiative to drop her home and now since he was ignoring her, she decided to drop him home and talk to him if possible,

Stopping in front of their cars,

Looking at Gao Lee who is equally drunk, Ling sighed and looked at Lu Ting "brother ting, can you take bro lee home, I will drop joseph home."

"are you sure? Can you manage him by yourself? Why don't I come with you while yusheng will drop lee?"- asked Lu ting.

"it's ok brother Ting. I can manage him also eve is drunk too, brother yusheng has to take care of her."- explained Ling.

"ok then call me if you need anything or else text me when you reach home."- said Lu ting who then helped Gao Lee into the car.

Inside joseph car:

Looking at joseph who is in his half-conscious state, ling shook her head, buckled his seat belt and started driving.

Reaching at his place, she tried opening his door, "what could his password be?"

Looking at joseph, though she knew he wouldn't react she nudged him and asked "Joe ,what is your passcode? I can't get in "

Chuckling at her behaviour, she tried to pick her mobile phone to call one of the boys about the passcode when joseph mumbled "p-p-passcode is the same, its Ling's birthday. M-my Ling's birthday."

Ling could feel her cheeks burning, she knew he wasn't in his best state, he doesn't know that she is the one with him but when he said, "My Ling", it sounded so right. At least for her it sounded so right.

Gaining control on her emotions she punched her birthday and opened the door.

Placing him on the bed, she took off his shoes and opened his top buttons on his shirt to make him comfortable. Checking for the last time whether everything is alright she was about to leave when someone pulled her hand hard.

Before she knew what was happening, her nose was hit by a hard thing. When her nose hit his hard chest, it was so painful that tears pooled in her eyes.

Rubbing her nose, she looked up to him only to find him staring at her. Before she could speak anything, he hugged her tightly and muttered with tears rolling down his cheek.

"don't leave me Ling. I can't live without you. Please Ling, I know I am a Fool for not proposing to you but please give me some time, I will give you a memorable proposal. Please don't go on any blind dates. Please Ling please don't go"

Blinking her eyes in confusion, she frowned at his words "what blind date and who told him that I was going on a blind date? It must be brother Lee. Haizz"

Looking at him, she placed her hand on his cheek "you really are a fool, how could you believe when anyone say that I am going on a blind date. Even I cannot live without you. So, you better propose to me quick or else I will do it."

Helplessly shaking her head, she tried to get up only to allow him to hold her tighter. Trying again when he didn't let her go, she sighed and closed her eyes. She was already exhausted going around shopping with evelyn and then bringing him inside his condo took all her strength.

Within no time, both of them were in deep sleep with a smile on their faces without giving any damn about anything.

Li mansion:

Looking at xiaoxi who was heating up the dishes Mother Li saved for him, Li Jie smiled. She looked so cute moving around in her pj's with the strawberry print on them.

When xiaoxi brought the food onto the table, Li Jie could see all his favourites laid on it, there was stinky Tofu, Vegetable soup, Braised Pork. They were all made just the way he liked, there his favourite desert.

Looking at his cute wife, he raised his eyebrows and teased her "did you ask aunt Gu about my favourites? Were you trying to impress me?"

Caught red handed, Xiaoxi cleared her throat and rebuked "are these your favourites? I didn't know that. I just prepared what was available in the kitchen and what is there to impress you? Aren't you my husband already?"
