Volume 1: Chapter 3 - Part 3
Author: Geraint
"Seir-sama! What have you done?!"
"Hahahaha!"
I was laughing while being shook by Lilith.
"You just had created what you supposed to destroy! Now, the whole demon race are in danger because of you!"
"Shut up! I didn't sealed those divine relics on Fuyumi for her to fight demons, but it's for her own protection!"
"In the first place, how did you sealed those relics on her without any harm to her body? Possessing two relics can already took a life of a person."
"I know that but I don't think having only one divine relic was enough protect herself so I thought a lot deeply on how can I can make her possess more than one relics without harming her life and I came up with an idea."
"What?! There's was a way?" Lilith was shock including Naamah who was listening to us in the crystal ball on the table.
"I will do anything for Fuyumi's protection so I decided to reforge those divine relics by fusing the 7 of them into one weapon."
"No way! Those relics are indestructible because they were made by Gods." Lilith trembled.
"Well, it took me several months and it was really hard but I successfully did it. My finish product was a Katana and I sealed it inside Fuyumi's body. Someday, in the future. She will be protected by the blessings of each of those relics from any harm even I'm not by her side anymore."
Lilith fell on her knees from what she heard from me. Yuuka and Shiina who are already in their school uniform went behind her and they dragged her together with them.
"Lilith, what are you still doing there? We're gonna be late at school! Hurry up and change already into your uniform!" Yuuka scolded her.
"Wait! I still have something important to say at Seir-sama!"
"You can just do that later after school. Do you want to receive punishment from the homeroom teacher?"
"Wait! Waah! Seir-sama, you dummy!" Lilith looks hopeless as I waved my hand to them with a smile.
"Seir-sama."
It was Naamah from the crystal ball who called my name next and she looks quite serious.
"I just want to confirm something. Have you felt something strange around two years ago when the Demon King went missing?" she asked.
"I don't really know. I haven't fought anyone seriously since from we arrived in this world but I still felt the same as ever. I might getting rusty now."
"There was this information that I found out from the books left by the past Demon Kings and it was about the 'Throne.' It is written that a real Demon King doesn't ascend to the throne but chosen by the 'Throne' itself."
"Huh?"
"Wherever the real Demon King goes, the throne follows. In other words, Seir-sama... The Throne is where the real Demon King is. I think the reason the last Demon King went missing two years ago because that 'Throne' is not in his possession anymore after suffering defeat from your hands.
"You mean..."
"That's right. He's not acknowledged anymore as the real Demon King by that 'Throne.' and I think it already transferred to you. Seir-sama, you might be not aware but you're already chosen by the 'Throne' to be the next real Demon King."
"How can you be sure about that?" I frowned to her.
"You just told me that you reforged those divine relics. The procedure will be destroying the relics first before you start the reforging. Only a real Demon King can destroy those relics which are supposed to be indestructible. There were 21 divine relics in the past and 9 of them were already destroyed by the real Demon Kings."
Naamah went out of her table and she kneeled down, bowing her head.
"Hail to our true Demon King. I, Naamah, one of the seven Disaster Witches will serve under your command!"
I sighed, seeing her acting like Lilith who already treated me like a Demon King.
"Okay then, as your new Demon King. No matter what happens... Everyone should remember this--- Fuyumi will be always my cutest little sister in the world!" I lifted up Fuyumi in my arms.
"Yes, Seir-sama!"
After few seconds of silence, she blinked her eyes twice then she glanced to me, realizing something and she became confused
"Huh?"
"Yeah, that's right. That's the most important. Never ever forget that, understand?"
If what she said is true about the 'Throne' being in my possession, the surge of my demonic power around that time when I swore to protect my little sister Fuyumi was the indication that I became a real Demon King. I thought my love to my dearest little sister has made me stronger.
"Yes, Seir-sama..." Naamah felt weird.
Since we're talking in otherworldly language, none from my parents or step-sibling understood our conversation but something I noticed from them. They didn't understand our language but they know what I'm talking about Fuyumi that is why there was a strange gaze coming from them while trying to listen us.
"Anyway, how's current situation over there?"
Naamah returned and sat back on her table with tired expression. She leaned her back on her chair and muttered:
"Many aren't happy with the new Demon King and the nation was split into different factions which they support their own candidates."
She suddenly trembled in anger and slammed her fist on the table which she clumsily made mistake and hurt her hand in exchange.
"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!"
"What are you doing?"
"His rules are quite ridiculous and he often abuse his authority for himself. He even sent letters to all the head of each demon clans that they are required to send the most beautiful daughter from their house to become his wife. Since I'm the head of my family, I also received a letter but I refused. I don't want to become a wife of someone like him!"
"I don't see any wrong with that. He is a Demon King after all. He is required to have a lot of concubine in order to produce a quality and strong heir. If he don't, the next generation of Demon King will be terribly weak and get easily killed on the war against humanity. It is for the sake of survival of the demonkin and you should already know that."
"I don't like that creepy bastard! He's not even worthy of becoming Demon King! Our nation is in complete disarray because of him! I rather become fugitive than become concubine of him! For me, the only Demon King I will serve is Seir-sama."
"You and Lilith just praised me too much."
"That's how well respected you are here, Seir-sama. You're maybe a fugitive right now but a lot of demons here likes you. You're kind and friendly to your allies but you're scary and violent to your enemies. You already have the great qualities of becoming Demon King. Not just that, you just have defeated your father the last demon king in a fair and square battle. With that 'Throne' in your possession, you are the real Demon King. The one that should be ruling our nation."
She bowed her head to me again.
"Seir-sama, I'm begging you. Please come back. The Demon Realm needs you."
Realizing that both worlds needs me, I have to think this through carefully but unfortunately for Naamah, I already decided it a long time ago. The demon nation will be fine without me but my new family here especially Fuyumi needs me.
"Sorry, Naamah."
With sad expression on her face, Naamah closed her eyes.
"I see... It's really just like Lilith said."
"Yes. I'm not interested in becoming Demon King anymore. I already have important things to look after here and I can't abandoned them."
"Okay, fine. How about this?"
Naamah glanced to me with determination.
"If I found a way to make a back and forth travel between two worlds, will you become our Demon King?"
Hearing those words from her made me feel excited because I can become the Demon King without abandoning my love ones here.
"Definitely." I grinned.
"Then as you wish, Seir-sama. For the sake of Demon Realm, I will make it come true." she put her arm on her chest as a salute.
I noticed Fuyumi in my arms was copying my expression, grinning to me. Tinkling her side, and she giggles to me.
"Guhehe ~"
(To be continued.)
I'll fix my mistakes later.
