章 13: Alabasta II

A while later in front of the cell in the marine boat Zeus was sitting in a chair looking at Crocodile, while smoking Zeus threw a cigarette at Crocodile and Crocodile caught it and put it in his mouth, Zeus shot a little lightning bolt at the tip lighting it up before speaking "So Crocky I'm not gonna tell you how It sucks getting captured by Marines or give you a way out because to be honest I don't care and you're going to break out of Impel Down anyway, but what I do want to know is why you decided to be a man." Crocodile gave Zeus a harsh glare, Zeus put a hand up and said "I'm literally just curious and I have nothing else to do so I might as well come bother you." Crocodile stayed silent and Zeus sighed and just started talking not caring if Crocodile listened or not "You know, those 5 bastards are going to pin everything on you and probably even the Strawhats, I'm willing to bet that I get a promotion and Smokey gets a promotion and a medal of honor or some other bullshit. Isn't that fucked?" Zeus shook his head exhaling a mouthful of smoke "You'd think for a Government who is literally controlling the world they wouldn't be scared shitless of a single story of pirates saving a country from other pirates. Hey Crocky wanna hear a big secret?" Zeus looked at Crocodile who was staring at him, after a few moments Crocodile nodded, and Zeus chuckled and said "You obviously know Gol D. Roger right?" Crocodile grunted and Zeus continued "Well truth is from the moment Roger started his adventure he had a serious incurable disease. He met a doctor along the way who kept him alive for long enough to become the Pirate King and have a child, but Roger obviously knew that he was going to die and soon so when his doctor diagnosed him and said he had a week left to live, Roger turned himself in." Crocodile dropped his cigarette in shock "IMPOSSIBLE!" Zeus just chuckled and said "How is it impossible? He was dying anyway might as well make a statement to the whole world before his death, I think it was a smart move, instead of dying in a bed on some island he died with pride and started a new era!" Crocodile was silent after that, of course he thought of that but that was some pretty classified information he just got he looked up and Zeus and said "Aren't you afraid ill tell the other marines what you just told me?" Zeus just laughed at him and said "First of all Crocky, goodluck finding a marine that's not a brainwashed, mindless, idiot that's always screaming about justice despite not knowing a single thing about it, second of all nobody other than a few people know the truth and third of all what do you get out of it? You get back at me for saying that you got a sex change? Please don't make me think less of you." Zeus shook his head and Crocodile smirked before he asked "What do you mean about the first point?" Zeus waved his hand and explained "Look at all the marines you've ever seen now take out me, Smoker, and the chick with glasses, maybe a few more and think which one of those retards thinks for himself? Akainu would rather sink and island of innocents than let a small time thief live, Kizaru just does what he's told like a good little lap dog and Aokiji.. well I guess he's tolerable. The point is all those mindless cronies will just follow along with whatever they're ordered to do, you know your partner Nico Robin?" Crocodile nodded and said "Yea the 'devil child' sinked 6 marine battle ships when she was 8" Zeus sneered at Crocodile and said "Seriously Crocky I thought you were smarter than that." Crocodile looked puzzled and said "What do you mean?" Zeus shook his head and explained "An 8 year old child can sink 6 marine battle ships with her devil fruit powers? Come on Crocky, it's not like she's a walking Pluton." before pausing and saying to Crocodile "Which by the way you're welcome I didn't say anything in the report, and honestly you're very lucky you didn't actually get your hands on it." Crocodile looked confused and asked "What do you mean?" Zeus deadpanned "Okay so Crocky how confident are you about handling an admiral?" Crocodile shook his head and said "0%" Zeus nodded and said "You would've had 3 of those, 1 fleet admiral, all the vice admirals, and a buster call on you in 3 days flat." Crocodile paled "Impossible! To use all those resources would be illogical." Zeus nodded and said grimly "Exactly and the aftermath would be covered up as well. You, and everyone on Alabasta and probably the Island itself would cease to exist and Pluton would be in the hands of the world government." Zeus sneered at Crocodile, who looked horrified and added "What do you think happened to Nico Robin? Ohara was researching about the history of the void century and the World government caught wind about it and annihilated everyone on that Island leaving Nico Robin the only person in the world able to read the poneglyphs when she escaped. They slapped a huge bounty on her head and fabricated some bullshit story about her being a devil's child and trying to destroy the world. forcing her to live on the run for most of her life." Zeus chuckled at Crocodile's expression and said "Breaking your world view huh?" Crocodile was still digesting this information, as Zeus got up and stretched and said "Don't worry Crocky you won't be in Impel Down for long, try and think about what I said maybe you'll realize that you owe the Strawhats a favor." Zeus turned around and walked back to his room to go to sleep.
