LiangLin felt the fatigue run over him like a herd of bulls. His feet dragged against the wooden planks as he followed uncle Hua and Tao down the bridge and onto the shore.

Darkness greeted them, the auburn late autumn warmth long dissipated along with the waning sun.

Uncle Hua had ordered Sheng Hai's crew to dock by a remote area, and instead of a white harbour that led to a cleared path towards the capital of sorcerers, LiangLin stepped into the middle of a jungle. Or at least, in the pitch back darkness lit up only by a few torches in the crew's hands, he sure as hell looked like just stepped into the wilderness.

Sand sunk beneath his feet with every step.
