"Your highness, how come you are already ordering an official meeting?" Official Xie asked as the last of the officials made their way into the Imperial Hall.

All officials were as perplexed over the sudden meeting. It was the day after the wedding. Newlyweds usually stayed by themselves for a few days, consummating their marriage and getting some alone time with each other to get used to the new married life.

None of the previous emperors - or any emperor in the historical records on that matter - had asked for a meeting to look over the nation's affairs the day after the wedding. Did something happen?

"I felt energized, so I want to get some work done before I return to my concubine," XueYa said, waving his hands dismissively as he took a seat on his throne.

An air of urgency settled over the hall, and all officials exchanged worried looks.
