"Hah? The fuck are you on? You on drugs?" Russell scrunched his nose in confusion as he pointed a finger at his face. "I know we grew up near a fish pond, and I know I'm not as handsome as Blondie, but to compare me to a fucking fish is very insulting."

"T-That's not what I meant." Johan almost scrubbed his face in irritation until he remembered he applied cream on it, so he just scratched the back of his head. For some reason, his heart sank to the deepest pit of the ocean at Russell's lost reaction. He didn't even know why he came to that conclusion, and why his heart soared at the possibility. Johan released the century's loudest grunt. "Never mind. Forget I ever said anything. It must be the alcohol."

"Are you wearing makeup?"

"What?"
