"Where are you off to again?"

Adrian didn't answer his mother as he passed by her at the garden to open their gate and rolled his motorbike outside. Letting go of someone was never an easy thing for him. Not after the disastrous break-up before he met Rhia. But he can't stay holed up in his room like a depressed teenager.

"You're going to Subic again, aren't you?" Adelia asked, turning off the faucet and walked closer to the gate, a green water hose in her hand.

"I'm not going to Johan's place if that's what you're asking. I'll just go meet some of my college friends. I haven't seen them in a while."

"You gonna drink?"

"I guess."

"Alright." Worry flashed in her aging eyes, but Adelia didn't stop him as he rode his bike. "Don't get into trouble, okay? Don't drive if you've had too much alcohol. And—"

"Yes, Mom. I'll be good."
