章 84: Prelude to fall?
"And with this, he's going to the finals." Aurora said looking at the middle of the ring, where Ian just finished his semi-final match.
"He did well, I'm really surprised by his growth." Sabastian said after analysing the match, to Aurora.
"Tsk, they are all weak! Do you call that a proper fight? Sabastian they're twigs, his opponents are so weak that it was a one-sided victory from the start." Aurora said to Sabastian.
The opponents are really too weak for Ian. No, it seems like he improved much more than last time she sparred with Ian.
His growth is extraordinarily fast.
In fact, it's not the opponents that are weak. If it was the Ian from a month ago then they are on par.
Ian improved incredibly fast in one month that it's quite a baffling feat.
The match has ended and Ian was making his way towards the gang.
With a smile plastered on his face, Ian ran to where Aurora, Sabastian, Aaron, Nyx, Erisviel and Ana is.
"This guy, arghh! I'm getting the feels to whack this guy's head." Aurora said grinding her teeth.
She is kind of jealous of Ian's growth.
She has been training for years, more than 10 years. But Ian only has been training for a few years.
If Ian gains enough combat experience then it's no doubt Aurora will lose against Ian.
Aurora's offensive is extremely strong that Ian can never surpass but her defence is extremely weak.
Ian is more like a balanced overall all-round fighter, his defence and offence is balanced. The only thing he lacks is the experience. Even his fighting sense is exceptional that it defies common sense, it's like he has ultra instinct or something.
Ian arrived in front of the gang with a huge smile plastered on his face. He looked towards Aurora and asked
"How did I do? Aren't I amazing?" Ian said to Aurora fishing for compliments.
Feeling irritated Aurora punched lightly on his shoulder. She didn't want to beat him up before his final match and take away his, oh-so hardworking accomplishments so far.
"They are weak! What do you expect me to say? Tsk, a bunch of trash from who knows where." Aurora said snorting, feeling disgusted by the matches of low tier fights so far.
"Ignore her, you did well. How are you? Are you injured anywhere? How are your hands?" Aaron asked Ian, telling Ian to ignore his sister who is feeling jealous cause of Ian's natural talents.
"I'm fine. My hands are well too, it's not much but it just feels annoying when they target my hands. Haha!" Ian laughed taking the boxing wraps off from his hands.
Ian's hands still look like a mess but its healing well.
"Hmm, it looks like it is 'ealing vell." Ana said inspecting his hands carefully.
"Thank you, Ana, once more! If it weren't for you my hands wouldn't have healed so fast." Ian thanked Ana for treating his bruised up hands.
Ana joined the gang a few days ago. She fits right in with their weird and chaotic gang full of abnormal misfits of personalities.
Everyone accepted her and quickly became friends with her. It was really surprising that Ana actually befriended Erisviel first as its almost impossible to befriend Erisviel. Erisviel doesn't trust people easily but she somehow feels connected and trusts Ana which was weird for everyone in their misfit gang.
Ana also has knowledge of traditional Tevittar medication and treatments etc.
"You are velcome, Ian. Zo vhen is your final match? Iz it today or tomorrow?" Ana asked Ian.
"Well looking at it, It will be over today. My final match is in a couple of hours." Ian said looking at the time.
"Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm hungry. So can we go to eat something, please?" Said Nyx grumbling and complaining about food and hunger.
"You're right! I'm also feeling a bit hungry. Let's go to the cafeteria nearby." Thinking about for a second, Ian said to the gang.
"Is it okay for you to eat? After eating if you fight then there's no doubt you gonna spill it out." Erisviel said questioning Ian, knowing his eating habits. As he will definitely going to eat his fill.
Listening to Erisviel Ian shook his head and said. "Yeah, I can't eat much but a light meal is fine and it's still a couple of hours till the finals."
Taking the lead, Ian guided the gang to the nearby cafeteria to eat food. It's 3:45 pm in the afternoon, because of his matches, the gang didn't eat their lunch without Ian.
Arriving at the cafeteria full of people, they were lucky to find a table for everyone.
It was quite packed because of the martial art competition.
Nyx, Erisviel and Aaron went to get food while the others waited for the food at the table.
"You are getting quite the attention, you know. There are lots of people paying attention to your performance." Aurora said narrowing her eyes.
She noticed quite a few organisation in the martial art competition.
For example, quite a few countries, some well-known organisations, some hidden organisations as well as some underworld organisations.
It's no surprise that they are here, the competition happens every three years and it produces many talented individuals.
To fish for talents here is no surprising fact.
Aurora wonders if Death Parade is here or not. If they are here she will definitely kill them no matter who they are.
"Yeah, I heard many countries keep an eye on this competition. If you get lucky they sponsor and give you scholarships. Since I'm an irregular this time, a 14-year-old competing in the 17-19-year-old category! It's no surprise that they are interested in me." Ian nodded thinking about the people that contacted his teacher.
Ian already told his teacher if anyone tries to contacts him? Tell them to say he is not interested and will not join any organisation or anything.
He really doesn't want to get tangled up on any weird organisation. (A/N: Lol.)
He had a lengthy chat with his teacher about it.
Seeing Ian talk about it? Aurora thought, of course, he doesn't know about what happens in the dark and how many or what kind of organisations are keeping an eye on him.
Nyx, Aaron and Erisviel came up with the food and they finally filled their empty stomachs with food.
