Arlo felt empty—like he was a bottle depleted of its contents.

It was like his feelings and emotions flowed to the ocean. There was no point of return, making Arlo feel that he is devoid of human emotions—not feeling anything.

He blankly stared at his door, sitting on the couch with his small bag of clothes and other important belongings such as his laptop and wallet.

With his phone still in his hand, he looked at the time, noticing that it was already 10 minutes almost midnight.

Arlo felt so desperate to make his brain stop thinking. He frustratingly ran his hand through his hair, groaning at the same time as he wanted to pass out right this moment so he could just drift to sleep.
