Alex and Sabrina were seated facing each other. Both of them ordered refreshments while waiting for the footage. Sabrina was feeling very awkward right now, she was not used to atmospheres like this. Wanting to break the ice, she gathered courage and spoke, "Uhm.. How are you Mr. Grande?" she asked awkwardly.
"Good." he answered plainly. Sabrina felt more awkward because of this. She didn't know how to continue the conversation she started.
What was she supposed to answer to 'Good'?!
She just nodded her head as an answer and decided to just shut her mouth, it's just 30 mins she told herself, it will pass fast. She just has to endure a little.
A few minutes later Alexander was the one who decided to speak, "Do you have an idea who's behind this?" he asked her.
Sabrina who was busy drinking suddenly fell deep in her thoughts. Who had the motive to do this to her? Then a light bulb moment came, "I think I have a suspect." she answered.
"May I know?" Alexander asked.
"I think it's the CEO of my agency."
Alexander then raised his brow upon hearing this, he already knew some things about her issue with her CEO because he heard the entire conversation of her and her manager in the restaurant earlier, but he still asked,
"Why do you think so?"
"She thought I was seducing her husband," she chuckled.
"Why would she think that?"
"She saw me and her husband kissing in the fire exit," Sabrina didn't bother to hide the truth from Alexander, basing from his bossy atittude earlier, she knew Alexander would only force her to spit everything out if she didn't talk.
"My Boss' husband was my ex boyfriend, we accidentally met in my agency a few weeks ago. We talked for a few minutes at the fire exit about some things, and then suddenly kissed me, I tried to fight back but he was stronger than me, then we were caught by his wife. He told his wife that I seduced him. And now my CEO is angry at me. End of story. I really didn't think she'd go as far as killing me, I guess she wasn't content with the reporter she hired." Sabrina sighed.
"Reporter?" Alexander was curious.
"Yeah. She hired a reporter to try and slander me, but I already took care of that. I guess she was angered by the fact she didn't succeed." she answered.
"Do you still love him?" Alexander suddenly asked her.
"You mean my ex?" Sabrina asked.
"Yeah," he answered. Sabrina then fell into deep thought, "In all honesty all I feel for him right now is hatred," she answered, "I was madly in love with him before. I was willing to fight for him, for us. But he threw everything, he threw me away. He chose power over me and I was deeply hurt. He was the man I once thought I'd be spending my whole life with, but I'm happy that God made things how it is today. If not and I ended up marrying him, I'd put my family in jeopardy." Sabrina then showed a beautiful smile.
When Alexander saw this, he was stunned. He had never seen anyone smile beautifully like her. He was captivated by it. He stared at her not wanting to miss any moment of her beautiful smile.
Alexander in reality, didn't understand himself. Ever since he saw her on the airplane, he can't get her off his mind. It was a first time for him to feel this, the feeling of curiosity. The feeling of wanting to know the person.
The first time he saw her smile while recording a video on a phone, he felt like his surroundings went slow-mo. And it was the same as right now, she smiled in front of him. It was a beautiful sight for him.
"How about you, CEO Grande? How's your love life?" she asked him which made Alex snap out to reality.
"There's someone I like." He answered then picked up his cup and sipped coffee.
"Really? Is it a boy or a girl?" Sabrina asked which made Alexander's brow raise. Sabrina who realized her own question choked on her drink, "I'm sorry CEO Grande, I didn't mean to offend you. It was because of those rumors," she coughed.
"What do you mean by rumors?"
"Oh you didn't know?" she asked, surprised. It was a rumor that was wide spread on the internet, "You really didn't know anything about those rumors that.. that you're gay?" she said. This time it was Alexander who choked on his drink,
"Nonsense! Why would people think that? I look completely manly don't I?" he blurted out.
"Of course! CEO Grande's looks are beyond average!" she praised, "But it's all because you're already 27 and you still don't have a girlfriend. Not even a single dating scandal. Naturally people would assume that you know.. you're bent." Sabrina answered.
"Can't it be because I'm just busy that I have no time to date? People really love to create gossip." he defended himself.
"Then why don't you date the person you like to get rid of the rumors?" she suggested.
"I want to know her completely first, I just met her a few days ago." he answered her. And it was the truth. Alexander wanted to know her first before he made his move. If there are people who he can't fully trust in this world, it was celebrities. He has a huge hate towards people like them.
"That's reasonable. Can you describe her? I'm curious what type of woman captured the interest of the almighty Mr. Grande." she teased. She didn't realize that the awkward atmosphere a while ago was now light. Both of them were already talking comfortably with no hint of awkwardness at all.
Alexander thought for a moment and then he looked at her, "She has a pair of beautiful eyes and she looks absolutely gorgeous when she smiles," he answered. A while ago in the car when he buckled the seatbelt for her, their eyes met. He noticed how beautiful her eyes were. He was completely mesmerized by it.
"I can imagine how beautiful she must be, I'll look forward to your announcement soon! And please invite me to your wedding." she chuckled then gave him a genuine smile.
Once again Alexander was speechless. how can she easily smile beautifully like that? He wondered if many people had seen her smile like that. And then like a lightning, jealousy struck him.
He wanted those smiles all for him only!
But he can only endure it for now. She's not yet his, but soon she will be.
"Of course," he answered her. Not of course to be a guest at his wedding, but to be his bride.
