In the span of the twelve years that Xuxu had lived under his Shizun's care, the mysterious man never once divulged his name. The names that he gave to strangers or acquaintances met him with would always change. Sometimes he was called Mao Luqiu, sometimes he called Su Yan and other times he was called Ning Du. He'd even been called Nameless. But Xuxu doubted that was true. There had been a name buried somewhere in Shizun's past.
Xuxu tilted his head, observing the man's languid, unconcerned movements as he lazily tied up his hair and smoothed out the wrinkles in his robes. Xuxu's eyes caught sight of the simmering gem that hung from Shizun's neck. There specks of gold in the gemstone that sat at the center of a finely crafted golden frame.
The necklace was in stark contrast to the rest of Shizun's appearance, for unlike his disheveled hair and cheap clothes, it was an elegant piece that no doubt was worth more than a fortune.
