章 187: A blaze of silver

It came down, a blaze of silver that came with a shower of light. Yu Yanlin felt no fear, only a warmth that reminded him of a distant spring, and the taste of freedom; cherry blossoms that tickled his face from another time another life. 

Time seemed to slow as he tilted his chin back down and locked eyes with his sister. He never knew how much hatred she had beheld for him over the course of her life and wondered if there was a way for things to be different.

He tried to smile at her but he knew that she was not paying attention. There was no way that she didn't notice the falling light but probably assumed that it was not something that would pose a threat. 

Yu Yanlin laughed, his voice soft among the chaos, "You shouldn't underestimate others so easily."
