章 246: Chapter 235 - Annoying Alps

Zeel found himself in a dark room, whispering noises assaulted his auditory senses that were no longer suppressed.

It was strange to be able to hear everything but also somewhat satisfying to be as free as he was in Universe Zero.

Being a Homo-Superior, all of Zeel's senses were specially tuned to be superior to everything, to know everything, to find everything, and to be everything.

Sounds were no longer just 'sounds', they were tangible, traceable, colorful, informative, and recently Zeel had also noticed that they were beautiful.

What was once empirically intricate had become celestially captivating.

Every state of now giving Zeel a new perspective, but this also damaged his mind.

The Immortal Nanite Technology helped with this phenomenon in Universe Zero, but Zeel had shed his previous nanites system.

Self-Replicating nanites Technology was highly advanced but it was still not on the level of INT as yet.

However, what was a little poison to a dying man? Zeel indulged in the feeling of euphoria within the darkroom, not minding the eeriness of the entire ordeal.

The darkness always cast a relaxing shadow in which Zeel thrived.

Darkness was not something he liked especially, but the grey areas were his home.

"Zeel… Zeel…. ZEEL!"

Zeel snapped his head hearing the familiar voice. The voice was not surprising; it was a bit sentimental if anything.

Zeel had long since adjusted his personality to become stern. Becoming who you needed to be in every scenario was drilled into everyone at the Asheborn's training camp.

Zeel turned his gaze to the approaching figure, the perplexed look on his face was enough to understand that Zeel was somewhat having trouble keeping reality separate from whatever this situation was.

"I told you once that you were burning Zeel," Kar'Zal said staring at the shrunken Zeel in front of him.

Zeel had reverted back to his child appearance subconsciously.

"I understand now," Zeel replied, his body enlarging once more to show who he currently is.

"I am still not burning yet," Zeel shrugged "But I will die before I burn,"

Kar'Zal said nothing and began to slowly stride in the direction of a white light.

Zeel followed his former teacher, the teacher who was largely the reason he survived the Asheborn's training camp on the nameless planet.

Kar'Zal reached the white light and grasped it between his fingers, showing Zeel the memory that occupied that specific fragment of light.

In the light, you could see two teenagers walking in a garden filled with flowers. Beyond the garden, you could see a background of flames that swirled confusingly.

Every so often, the entire scenery would be plunged into the bright light and then burning flames, spinning once again before the process repeated once more.

A boy with silver-white hair watched as the purple-haired girl danced around the garden in excitement.

Kar'Zal asked Zeel "Do you remember her? The first princess you killed. How she begged, how she scratched, how she had such an intense will to live.

I know you can recall how you felt nothing at that time. There was only the need to survive, but the moment you saw her face, you knew that she could not keep that face,"

Zeel just watched as a younger Zeel walked behind the dancing girl and dragged her forcefully across the field to an unknown location.

However, halfway across the field he stopped, and pointed at the face of the purple-haired girl, dissolving half the beauty that once graced her face.

The Purple-haired girl slowly stood up and exited the white light, standing before Zeel with half her face melted.

"Can you understand how I felt now?" The purple-haired girl asked, standing in Zeel's view.

"It was inconvenient that you had the same face as Gabriella, so I killed you to avoid retribution from the races that believed that a Homo-Willorous would survive.

All Royals had disappeared apart from me, so your race would have been attacked on suspicion alone. By killing you, I saved your people," Zeel replied with a deep sigh, he could not understand exactly what he did wrong.

Zeel could care less about Gabriella's little sister that he killed. You could say that within Zeel's mind, he only feared one thing at the moment – himself.

Kar'Zal waved his hand, dissipating the white light as he stared at Zeel.

Zeel had grown tired of the current situation, but Kar'Zal's next action caught him off-guard.

Kar'Zal reached into the void and pulled out a picture of his daughter causing Zeel to flinch. He remembered Kar'Zal's family incredibly well.

"You promised to protect them!" Kar'Zal yelled.

Zeel began to shake with rage, the non-existent ground cracked below his metaphorical feet.

Warps started appearing all over and Zeel reached into a warp, dragging out a squealing creature.

Inside Zeel's hand was an Alp, a being that enjoyed playing with the nightmares of women and men alike.

It would trap them in their nightmares for eternity.

"Fucking Alp! You are a bit out of your league here. Who sent you?" Zeel growled hoping to control the Draconic Energy that always reacted to his unstable state.

"Grrrr-Arrrrggghhh,"

Zeel pointed his fingers flickering with transparent lightning at the shadow-like creature and commanded "Speak in the Universal Tongue of Babel,"

"People… have…been…hearing…rumors…of…the…Homo-Superior…that…defied…. the…absolute. They…are…curious…I, lucky…find…you…through…wives," The Alp said in a language that resembled ramblings.

"There are some memories that you should not touch Alp," Zeel said penetrating his finger through the Alp, dissipating the shadow-like creature.

Things had just become complicated, rumors were okay but sending the Alps to consume dreams from Universe to Universe meant that the opponent was searching thoroughly.

Zeel was not concerned as yet because searching for him by guessing was equal to no search at all.

The Multiverse was never so small that someone could be found within millions of years, much less a couple hundred.

As soon as the Alp was killed, Zeel groaned awake under a random bridge in an unknown part of London.

At the very least, The Red Queen had done her job of keeping his body concealed.

Still, he would have preferred better waking conditions even if he was floating slightly above the ground.

"How long?" Zeel asked examining the extent of the damage on his body.

There were two new scars he had failed to notice previously but that was not the current focus.

Breaking The Laws of The World caused the lingering Heavenly Lightning from killing Alexander to wreak havoc inside his body.

The Mind splitting headaches also meant that his mind needed time to heal – the perfect time for an Alp to infiltrate it.

"Two Months. I sensed an intrusion into your mindscape due to temporary weakening caused by Restriction Punishments, but I could not affect the entity," The Red Queen said a bit disappointed.

"It was just a random Alp wondering all over the place. Anything to report?"

"Nothing new to report," The Red Queen replied curtly.

"Alice, Elizabeth, Ella, and Alle? That girl Lara, how is she?"

"Alice and Elizabeth are in the final stages of their respective researches.

Ella and Alle were blocked from this location over the past two months, but they seemed to have bypassed my protocols to peek on you occasionally.

Lara was released from the hospital after a week. She searched for you for a couple of days and then stopped. She still works as a deliverer,"

"I should go and explain myself to the lowborn human," Zeel said his thoughts out loud since the headache in his mind made it difficult for him to focus.

"I would not advise this course of action," The Red Queen suggested.

Zeel paused and quirked his brow.

It had been the second time since his initial awakening that the Red Queen did not follow orders as it was given.

It was a bit pleasing at first but Zeel's rational mind told him that she was becoming a bit too willful for his comfort.

"Why?" Zeel asked slightly intrigued by the reason for The Red Queen's obstinate rejection to visit Lara.

The Red Queen hesitated to answer causing Zeel's annoyance to increase by every second she did not choose to speak.

"You are free to speak!" Zeel said rubbing his fingers through his hair.

"Well, it is concerning the changes that I have noticed within your personality and some key facts about yourself that you have chosen to knowingly ignore as of recently," The Red Queen said heaving a sigh at her own inability to stay quiet.

Sigh, I am so tired...

Just finished watching Snyder Cut Justice League and lemme say...

I am gonna write the shit out of that when DC Universe is integrated into my fanfic.

I am super excited.. imagine what I'll do with the flash when it is time...

Anyways, I heard a lot of gunshots last night and I still slept like a baby...

I am used to people dying as long as it's not me, so a lot of the dark inspirations I get for my novel comes from some experience with those things.

Just Saying...
