章 32: Visiting the Famous Musician
The week flashed past our five girls after they prepared the scavenger hunt. There were many preparation days against quirk sabotaging, making sure that the tasks don't wither away for a long while and making sure that nobody was going to vandalize their clubroom. It was a busy week and all girls were tired, including our Akane that has crazy high endurance.
Currently all members of the quirk mystery club lay exhausted on the floor of their club. They were very tired.
"Man, this was a very busy week, our clubroom almost got demolished twice in this week!"
"What I can't believe, is that Akane went through with that threat of hers, Yui."
"What do you expect? You think I am joking, just because a trial is expensive and costly? They were foolish for thinking that the second last paragraph was a hint and not a serious meant threat, but oh well, they learned what it brought to them and had to explain the escalated trial to their parents."
"Akane is a sadist."
"Aki agrees to Touko, Aka, is a sadist."
"Thanks for the compliment guys."
""They didn't mean it as a compliment!""
The room was in silence for a moment, before everyone bursts out laughing. It was an exhausting but fun week for them.
"Yui, any idea what the quirk mystery club could do next?"
"We didn't visit Akas' house yet. You promised us last week, didn't you?"
"Well, we barely had time for that in the past week, but if you want you can come around late morning to noon if you all want to."
"So tomorrow we visit Akas' house?"
"You perceived that right, KanKan!"
"Aki is already excited! Aki can't wait for tomorrow!"
"Yay!"
Even Touko was excited for tomorrow.
"Don't come late guys, else you won't get in."
Everyone in the room started laughing again.

It was Saturday and Akane was training like crazy, she put weights on top of her regular exercise, she currently weighs double as much as her original weight. Akane felt like dying doing this exercise, but she was too determined to give up.
Akane was currently on her last minute of her plank, her brain and body screamed at her to give up, but she refused to listen. After the minute was over Akane simply doesn't collapsed under her exhaustion. She continued to push her body on like the insane mad girl she is. After a while she finally reached home.
"What the hell, Akane how can you be so drenched in sweat? What the heck did you do outside?"
"Mommy Rumi, I am exhausted, catch me."
"Woah, what!"
Rumi was caught off guard a bit, but still caught the girl.
"What the hell, you are heavier than you supposed to be! You easily currently weigh 100 kilos!"
Akane just smiled.
"I am wearing bodyweights, of course I am going to be heavier. Now excuse me I am going to fall asleep on you!"
"No! Don't do that! Aaaannnndd she is asleep, great."
"Hey sweetheart! Help me undress and wipe your daughter clean from her sweat!"
"What! Rumi, you know that you are only supposed to call me that then we are alone! Even if the third party is asleep or unconscious!"
"Calm down Fumio, your daughter already knows, caught me red handed on that camping day."
Rumi said to her girlfriend with a smile, but said girlfriend just sighed, her daughter really is perceptive, isn't she?
"Well, I wondered how we managed to hide it from her, but I guess we were played like a fiddle, I guess she knew all along and waited for the right opportunity to speak about it."
Rumi just nodded.
"What did you two talk about?"
"You know the usual, she said that I should take responsibility for you and marry you and stuff."
Fumio leaned her two elbows on the table, observing her girlfriend.
"She did, huh? Well, when are you going to take responsibility for me and marry me?"
Rumi coughed at her words and started to blush.
"Not you too, Fumio! Look I plan on proposing to you soon enough, but we still need to meet each other's parents and inform them about all this."
Fumio started to blush at her words, 'propose soon enough' rang inside her head.
"Well, who would have thought that Mirko is such a filial daughter."
"Hey, I might be a bit hotblooded and all, but my parents are still my parents and I respect them."
"So, we are going to marry, if both our sides agree of our relationship?"
She nodded.
"Yeah, then you are going to be my official wife."
"Where do we want to live then, should I live in your place or you in mine."
More blood started to rush to her head.
"We talk about it after we are married."
And so, the two adults in the room turned to tomatoes.

Currently the four members of the club are walking to Akanes' house.
"Aki is excited to go to Akas' house, are you too, you must be too, right?"
"Calm down Aki, we all are excited, but you are a bit to giddy!"
"Is Touko saying that Aki should calm down?"
"That is exactly what I am saying."
"Well, how do you imagine Akas' house to be? She was a celebrity after all."
"Well, do you think it's going to be a mansion, KanKan?"
"I hope it's not a mansion, Yui! I would feel a bit pressured."
"Well, then you should prepare yourself in the case it is a mansion."
"Well, I guess you are right."
The group of four girls continued to walk, before arriving at her house, until then they talked about random stuff.
"Well, Aki would describe this house as a mansion."
"But you just called it a house."
"That's right, the front yard isn't that big."
"What are you talking about, Aki? This isn't a mansion! This is a big house!"
"Yui, isn't a big house just a mansion."
"No, it's not KanKan, there is a difference!"
"Guys, could you please stop discussing if my house could be called a mansion or not? At the end it's just the place where I live."
All the girls jumped at Akanes' voice coming from behind them, they saw the girl in a tracksuit and completely sweaty all over her body. Her tracksuit stuck to her body tightly, revealing her curves. All the girls gulped at the sight, but the moment they looked into her face they calmed down again. Her face was just pure without any seducing feature.
"Hello guys, excited to spend the time with me? You all came a bit too soon though, I just finished my morning routine and fell asleep, I didn't shower yet, so please wait for me for a moment."
"Phew, Aka it was just you. Don't do that! You scared us!"
"What were you guys expecting? You were all making a scene in front of my house after all."
All girls bowed down at these words.

"Stop it! You don't have to be sorry, look, just enter my house."
The girls nodded, entering her house, being a bit tense because it was big.
"Welcome to my humble abode, do you want to go to my room? Do you want to listen to me play? Do you want to explore my home or do you want to eat lunch?"
The girls thought for a moment, before each answered individually.
"Aki wants lunch!"
"I would like to listen to your music."
"Exploring your home! I want to know what you have!"
"Your room."
The girls looked at each other, surprised that each of them chose a different option.
"Well, how about we go to my room first, you can put your stuff down and while I am showering, you can look around my room for a bit, we then go down for lunch and then explore my house?"
All girls nodded, it sounded reasonably after all.
They went upstairs to her room, they were excited about how it could look, 'how does the room of a famous musician look?', was the question that floated in their heads, the moment they entered, Akane parted ways with them to shower for a moment.
Akanes' room was bland, the walls where eggshell color, she had a big shelf with many books, a work table and the only remotely special seeming object was the big, fluffy, comfortable looking bed in the corner and a high-tech computer, it didn't really seem to have anything else in it.
Well, obviously she had chairs in the room, but they were the simplest wooden chairs you could possibly buy.
"Isn't Akas' room a bit too bland?"
"Yeah, Yui! Aki just wanted to say that."
"Guys, are you joking or do you like to always forget about her condition on purpose? Akanes is blind, remember? She wouldn't be able to appreciate a good decorated room in any way, even if she wanted to!"
The girls looked in shame away, again. Kanna was right, even though Akane could move and interact with objects on the same level as normal people, she was still blind.
The girls sat down in her room in silence. After a while Akane came back, to pick them up from her room. She entered the room and saw the heavy atmosphere. She sighed.
"Seriously guys, you are pitying me again, just because my room is so bland and boring and even if I decorated it, I can't appreciate it? Don't get cocky about you and your empathy, I lived like this for twelve years and am probably going to live like this the rest of my life, so stop looking so gloomy and follow me down to lunch!"
But instead of them following her obediently they all hugged Akane. She hugged back.
"Fine, if you want to cheer me up so badly then do it. But don't complain later if your food gets cold."
The five friends shared a group hug.
Afterwards they went down the staircase to get to the kitchen and get their food.
"Just so you know, I prepared the meal, so you better be grateful for my cooking!"
"Aka, you can cook!"
"What? You think I couldn't? I wouldn't be the perfect girl if I can't cook a decent meal!"
"As Aki expected! Akas' the perfect flawless girl!"
The group of girls laughed at the dog girls' words, indeed, Akane was the perfect girl...
"Akane, is this what I think it is?"
...their expectations were betrayed as they saw the many bowls of white rice gruel.
"What it's good! And I must confess that everything I cook turns into gruel, regardless of what I do? So just please just accept the only meal I can cook."
"It can't be THAT bad Aka, you just have to try!"
"Oh really!"
Akane prepared a sandwich and gave it to Kanna, she bit in it and found it was gruel.
"Well..."
Akane prepared instant noodles, after five minutes she revealed its contents. It was gruel.
"Ähm..."
Akane threw a carrot violently into a bowl of hot water. She pulled it out and tried cutting it. It was gruel again.
"..."
Akane cut onion into fine cubes with two millimeters side length. Unsurprisingly, it was just very finely cut onions. (What? Did you really thought that it would turn into gruel too? No worries Akane still can prepare ingredient perfectly without them turning into gruel. ~Author-san)
"You saw enough, KanKan?"
Said girl bowed down, she didn't know what she just saw, but she knew she had to apologize.
"Guys, this rice gruel is surprisingly tasty."
"Aki agrees, it has that light taste and that citrusy hint in it, it tastes very refreshing and tasty!"
The two remaining girls started to eat the gruel, and indeed, it tasted surprisingly good.
"Well, you are at least good at the only dish you can cook."
Hearing this Akane had to laugh, followed by the other girls.

"What? Oh that? Just ignore it, it isn't important, it's not the thing I wanted to show you."
The five girls acted as if nothing happened just now and continued.
"Well, the music of the famous music prodigy, it's for sure going to sound great!"
"Shh, Yuiko, be quiet, I want to hear the piece!"
And so, the girls all turned silent, giving all their attention to the girl at the piano, they watched each step she took, the moment she sat into the chair, the moment she laid her hands on the instrument.
And then she started to play.

It was a warm melody, a warm and cheery melody, feeling like the excitement you always felt when you were a child and finally got home. The theme had a very homey feeling and besides conveyed the feeling of having a cheerful and nice mother leading you around, teaching you all kinds of things. This theme portrayed how a home should always feel and showed that there always be someone there that cares about you like a true mother should. Letting their child do their own thing, but always be there then they drift off to the wrong path or if they are in need for help.
The five girls felt really warm around their heart as they heard the piece, after a while in slowly started to fate, almost as if the mother in the theme let their child out into the world to let him find his own place in the world.
Each of the girls had tears in their eyes. Akita was even full-blown crying.
