章 26: Chapter 25: The Rooftop
His time of death was 9:22.
Joy can't say anything as she was standing in front of Cammy's coffin. She was not able to help him at all and she was blaming herself for his death because she thought that she had been a useless friend. What for is this power given to her if she had not saved a person that needed her the most?! What is she here for?
"What am I now? I'm a failure." the tears she had been witholding for many hours had fallen now as she looked at Cammy's portrait atop his coffin. It really breaks her heart to see that. Cammy's smile on the picture was so sad, but the actual Cammy that was lying peacefully looked happy.
Light approached her as she cried and he hugged her as he gave Joy the letter Cammy wrote.
"He lived his life...." he said and looked at the coffin... "so painful."
'Yeah. He did. He was alone and I never did anything to help him! I hate myself. I hate this life.' Joy thought to herself.
Just then, a tall, skinny girl with a beautiful brown long hair and sad, devastated eyes had entered the door and went to see Cammy.
"I can't believe what I am seeing." she murmured and wanted to break everything. 'WHY DO THIS TO YOURSELF CAMMY?!' she thought to herself and she lost her balance as a person caught her, but her eyes were fixed in one direction- in the casket where Cammy is laid...
Dead. Without life.
'Why? Just why?'
"Heart attack. That was the reason of his death." the man who held her said.
"Heart attack.... Not suicide?" she asked and Light looked at her with an angry expression. She was clearly trying to not be blamed.
"He did not take his medicines for his heart attack, so it's the combination of the two. I'm Light." he said.
Ajan turned to face him, and she was so shocked to see an almost unreal person stand in front of her... He has gold eyes, like the sun...
"You have to wave goodbye to him, or at least, talk to him." He said.
Ajan approached the casket and saw him, wearing the clothes she bought him for their 2nd anniversary, and the same friendly smile she saw when she first met him. She can't believe that this is really happening and she tried to wake herself up, but it was real, without a doubt.
Without a word, she just cried there, hoping that this is all a joke. That this is a prank... But no.. Everything is real and it is happening right in front of her eyes.
He is dead now...
"Come with me. Upstairs." Light said.

They went up to the rooftop of Cammy's residence, the two of them, alone and as they went there, Ajan felt awkward so she tried to start a small talk..
"Are you friends with Cammy?" she asked.
"Yes. He told me to hand you the letter." he answered, while a seemingly cold breeze surrounded her like ice because of his cold- almost sharp tone. Ajan was not able to talk then because as soon as she saw the light coming from the rooftop, a very familiar face looked at her with longing, and she immediately ran towards him to embrace him , but she just went past him, without touching him.
"Why? Why?!" Ajan yelled as she tried to hug him.
"Stop, Love. Please. You know how painful these actions cause me... Stop crying." he said as tears fell down his cheeks..
"No! I'm seeing you right now! You are alive!" she yelled. "And stop acting like you don't have a grudge on me. Stop acting like I did nothing wrong to you! Why are you not mad! You should be mad at me! Stop this act now!"
"I am not mad at you..." he said, smiling.
"Stop lying!"
"I'm not mad at you..." he said, in a more serious manner.
"Admit it! Cameroon!"
"Fine! Yes I was mad. I was mad that you left me.. I was mad that your promises were broken. We have also signed a contract between us two that we will never get tired of each other, and starting that day, we will always be each other's partner, for life. I am mad. Ajan. I am. You know I am! I thought we would fight together till the end! I thought we would win this war! I thought we would succeed but why leave me? No, leaving is not the word. You abandoned me! Why?! You never forgave me with what i said about your religion! I apologized for a thousand times! Why can't you forgive me? Is our love worth just one argument? You said that love is also forgiveness and you ways asked for my forgiveness everytime you do something bad- but it seemed to me like you never forgave me. I am so mad Ajan! I am."
Tears fell down Ajan's cheeks as he said those words in front of her, because she knows that he is right but it really made her hate him more...
"But I can never be mad at you Ajan... Never... You know how much I love you..." he cried...
"I am mad at myself Ajan. I have been a stubborn person and I did that to you. I hurt you and I hate myself for that. Please forgive me before I go...
"Thank you for the memories, I will cherish them all in my heart forever.
" Please be happy.... "
"I forgive you now... Cammy.. But I can't accept you leaving this world. Please tell me everything is a lie..." Ajan said as they both cried..
She don't know if it was just her blurry eyesight, but she saw him, slowly fading away..
"Every moment I had with you was well-spent.."
"No! Don't leave..."
"I love you Ajan... I hope you live your life... And find the person whom you will not have second thoughts, who deserves you. You deserve the whole world..."
"Stop!"
"Goodbye, Ajan... I love you."
"NO!"

As soon as Ajan opened her eyes, a girl with sad moon-like silver eyes stood before her. She have a long tresses that fell behind her back, so pretty and unreal.
"I suppose you are Ajan." she said in a very serious tone which really scared Ajan.
"And what if I am?" she asked with a tone as sharp as ever because she was trying to scare her away. Her attitude sucks. "Why? Are you going to blame me too?"
"Should I?" she said.
She is really getting into Ajan's nerves as she approached her. She thought she was to hurt her, but instead, she sat beside Ajan and silently cried. Ajan noticed that her necklace was exactly the same with that of Light's. 'Are they a couple? Light's eyes were like the sun, whereas hers - the moon.'
"I'm not blaming you... Ajan..." she said which gave Ajan instant relief.
"I am blaming myself. I was his friend but I did not do anything to save him. I knew about his disease and told him not to do it but he did it anyway.
"I hate myself for not being able to do anything..." she cried...
Ajan just sat there, tears not falling from her eyes.

Joy saw the person Cammy loved the most, alone in the corner, still refusing to believe everything she is seeing.
"I hate seeing her like this." Cammy said. His soul is still wandering here, waiting for his mom.
"I know..."
"I know she will be able to recover fast because she is strong... And her love for me faded already." he said.
"Please. Stop being bitter." Joy told him as Light approached.
"I don't think I will be able to leave this world soon... Can I join you in your mission?"
