章 10: 8 Years...
It's been 8 years since they started training. They would be staying at the floating island above the sky or you can just call it by its name, Eden, which is ironic.
At the first five days they were training, after they do all the exercises, they all looked like rags on the floor as dirt can be seen from all over their body when they ran and tripped when they were exhausted. This training will become impossible to do if it is not for their Aura being unlocked and they were taught on how to use it to strengthen their bodies which is also known as Aura Enchancement. It is like Jaune's Aura Amplification but without hidden drawbacks that stops him from getting stronger.
Aura Amplification increases the effect of Aura, however, it keeps using Aura even if it's not active. Aura Enchancement is used by manipulating the Aura to the point that even Jaune has big Aura Reserves, if he can't use it properly, he can't defeat someone who has 10 times less than Aura than Jaune.
For now, there is only one who can use Aura Enhance that is 90% more efficient and less consuming, and that is Ace's Father.
Speaking of Ace, during those years that he trained under his father, he became more like his father, but he's still too far from his father when it comes to combat skills.
During those years that he trained, he decided on what weapon he wants. No one expected this, but Silver, who knew that there is no way that his son would use a katana, odachi, or even a sword-spear that he uses most of the time. What Ace chose was none other than shield, not just any shield, but shield like the son of Captain America uses that was made by Tony Stark. Not only one, but two. That means, he can launch two shield to slice and dice the grims. The Aura Projected shield was not purely made of Aura as it has the same properties of using other energy to use 90% less Aura.
His weapon of choice had been granted as Silver has a way to create weapons to project Aura as a solid weapon which is Aura-free usage as it only projects them and bringing them back inside them. They will only lose their Aura of their projected weapon was destroyed which is pretty fair since it wasn't made to be too OP. It'll only become OP if the user knows how to harden their Aura to the point that even 1 ton of force could stop an attack and even cut the hardest metal known in Remnant.
Ace was not the only one who learned! Of course, the other three were able to learn it as well. They all have different Aura so their projected Aura are also different. Yun Zhao, or Zilong, has great speed out of the four of them, though he can't defeat Ace yet since the latter can easily react on his speed despite lacking in speed. Zilong's Aura color was good, but blue when projected and blue lightning arcs surrounds his blade that appears from one side of his armguards. Zilong's weapon of choice were armguards that becomes a gauntlet that reached over his elbow and even cover his finger, giving him claws using nanotechnology. It's very flexible and tough made by the greatest Weapon Crafter, Silver Cranel.
Blaze was going for his favorite assassination weapon, a scythe. But, there is something unique about it. His scythe was at least 2 meters in height and can use Aura Projection to fire an Aura Slash that uses 90% less Aura when used on ordinary weapons. His scythe was not only a scythe, as the scythe's blade was double-edged just like Qrow's Sword-Scythe weapon. But, it is very different as it doesn't turn into a great sword, but a sword-spear weapon just like Silver's weapon and it's long pole will decrease it's length to make it 2 meters in height, not a 3 meter long spear. The blade was 1 meter long when straight, and the pole was 2 meters long but can become shorter by a meter, making it a total height of 2 meters.
Wyn's a Bow with custom made arrows for different occasions, like armor piercing arrows, exploding arrows, and every types of arrows that Hawkeye could ever have. But it was upgraded with the fighting style of Wyn which is about imbuing the arrow with Aura Enhance that increases the penetration power of his normal arrows and he can use his Wind magic to enchant them with sharpness and penetration power when imbued with Aura. Aside from bow and arrow, he was carrying 5 daggers that were enchanted with sharpness, penetration, and Roll-Call attribute that allows him to retrieve his daggers that he had thrown away. He's pretty much a rouge marksman.
When it comes to skills, Ace has balance skills with different weapons but he has higher trust in his defensive capabilities rather than offensive strength. After all, he has advantages in both close range and long range with his weapon of choice and can defeat mid-range opponents.
Blaze was very skill in close to mid-range combat but more on mid-range because of his weapon that has longer reach. His fighting style was made to kill humans rather than grims, but added the fighting styles in killing grims in his art of killing. He polished his skills to the max.
Wyn was very adept in marksmanship. To be honest, adept is an understatement because he's more of a monster like Silver, who never misses any targets. The only difference is that Silver can see very far, while he cannot see that far. He greatly compensate for it with his daggers in case he get attacked from behind.
Zilong was very confident in his close combat skills, but he's not being prideful about it, rather than saying he's a monster in close-quarter combat, he always says that he's not that great. He learned Hokuto Shinken without the deadly part, and he shouts like Jotaro's Star Platinum whenever he released barrages of punch.
Today, they were all 12 years old and we're now ready to enter Signal Academy, even though they have already learned a lot from Silver's teachings, they needed an alibi from where they did get taught how to fight with their skills being deadly to humans and grims if ever Ozpin found them fighting and they got caught by a blonde MILF, and the Headmistress of Beacon Academy.
In those past few years, a lot of things change like Summer is now alive until now. The four young kids also met Neo even before Roman took her with him. But a year later, Silver saw Roman taking Neo with him, he appeared beside them. He gave them money that would last them for a year even if they spend it on a lot of things. The kids didn't know this as they were threatened by Silver to increase their traing by ten-fold if they were to take her.
The four kids also met a goddess. A goddess from a different world that was living at the center of Eden, they were really shocked to see her. Why? Because it was Artemis from DanMachi Movie: Arrow of Orion. She has a sad ending as she needed to be killed and be sent back to heaven.
The reason why she was here was because if the two brothers sensed her divinity which she could not hide, unlike Silver. Yes, Silver was a god. And also, Eden was created to hide her divinity from those childish gods. The four kids were shocked that Silver was a god, and they became jealous of Ace, who was now considered as a demigod but he can't become a full god unless he absorbs the Divine Essence of a god.
Many things happened, like having missions to test their skills to improve by stopping criminals easily in just a few minutes when together without causing damage. When alone, they are allowed to use more force than needed and will cause some damage but not much.
In Xiao Long-Rose Residence, Blaze, Ruby, and Yang are outside of the house.
"Bye, Mom! Bye, Old Man! We're going now!" Of course, Blaze was the one who said that.
Tai only sighed while Summer chuckled as it has been years and Blaze has yet to call Taiyang, Dad.
In the island of Patch, the Signal Academy has separated the kids who were only 6 to 11 years old away from kid who were 12 to 16 years old. Even though Blaze, Leo, Ace, and Zilong just started school at the age of 12, with Tai and Silver, being a teacher in Signal Academy, they were allowed to be enrolled even though they skipped 6 years of learning. But they didn't, because Silver taught them, and they were threatene- *cough* asked nicely by Silver who said that he won't let his son enroll here unless the other three do so.
Since Silver was considered as a genius, they expected that his son was also a genius. And they were not wrong about that!
Ace was happy right now. Why? Because this is what happened. Ace sparred with some of the strongest member of the Branwen Tribe, except Raven, Raven saw his skills and made Ace stop sparring.
"Are there any problems, ma'am?" Ace never really called her mother even from the day he was born.
"Are you really gonna call me like that?" Raven squinted her eyes, looking seriously at Ace who has a poker face he inherited from his father.
After a few seconds of staring contest, Raven sighed.
"Alright, Hawk, my son. I admit you made me proud, but you are still weaker than me." Raven said with a smile at the first sentence, and became a smirk when it was the last.
"Now I know why Pops fell in love with you." Ace has been calling his father like that after 2 years of training under him.
"... Pops?" Raven tilted her head since she never heard her son call his father like that.
"It's another way to say father in a more closer way. By the way, mom, you looked beautiful when you are being a Tsundere. I am really his son." Ace said with a straight face.
"Eh?" Raven blushed but quickly shook it away.
"Bye, mom! Take care!" Ace said while already leaving.
Meanwhile Raven smiled genuinely at her son's departing back.
In Zhao Family Residence house, Zilong was training with his father.
After training for hours, he finally beaten his father with speed and his immense defense against his father's powerful blows that is enough to break someone's Aura in one punch.
"Kid, I'm proud of you. You've beaten me in your own way, proving that pure strength is nothing without speed. I though at first, you Aura will break in just a few punches from me. But, oh boy, you've made me realize that no matter how strong someone is, doesn't mean they can only be beaten with the same power." Shun Zhao said proudly at his son while he was being supported by Yun who beated his father like a meat.
"Well, you forced me to fight with you. It's not my problem, Dad." Yun Zhao said.
"I guess, I should give you the name that will become famous. I, hereby, grant you the name Zilong. It really suits you, son." Shun said with a smile on his face.
Then the two came inside their house. Inside, food were already placed neatly at the table. And they are happily.
Meanwhile, Wyn was happy that he wouldn't be enrolling into Atlas Academy since he hate being near someone. What he was talking about was, Jacques Schnee. He hate seeing him nor his place, and that's why he chose to enroll in Signal Academy. His parents didn't stop him as they knew that it would be better for him to be learning in Signal, away from politics.
Wyn, aka Leo, was now living with his mother in Patch. They have a two-storey floor house which is big enough to have a training room for Leo to train.
And when Leo told his parents about calling him Leo, they agreed as using the nickname that was given to him by a friend of his parents was enough to show their gratitude at Silver even though he didn't asked for permission. But that wasn't a problem as Leo grew up a young man who can be mistaken as a girl if he ever to wear girls clothes, Leo's mother was happy that her son's skin was still as smooth just like when he was a baby.
One problem, though. He has a horizontal scar on his nose. She was angry, however, that made Leo look more handsome.
