章 2: Chapter Two

Just what in the hell is going on here?" my mom screeched.

"Look, hun, Lisa and I were just-"

"I don't want to hear it. I come home to get the documents that I needed for work that I left and I come back to you two doing it. I thought you said you loved me. Seems not."

"Mom! I-"

"And you, I most definitely don't need to hear from. I can see what I see. It may not be much, but I see the earth and above (Truth). It seems to me that you and your sister are pretty similar when it comes to being a garden tool." Anger overcame me and it blacked out mentally.

I subconsciously extended my hand over to my digital alarm clock and an M1911 appeared in my hand and shot her directly in the head.

"What the fuck?" he yelled, rolling off of me.

"My real mother would have never compared me to that skank, and plus, English was too perfect," I grimaced, watching her body as, pixel by pixel, she began glitching away. As soon as she was gone, the 9mm disappeared as well the same way.

"How- no, where- no, why-"

"Those are good questions. None can be answered here. Do you know what programs are made up of?"

"Yeah, commands that it has to follow. Studied it in high school."

"Do you know what the dark web is?"

"They don't call me Dark Lord for nothing."

"Wait, YOU'RE the king of the dark web?"

"What? You can't believe an innocent English teacher is actually someone who stopped wars from happening along with a kid named... Savior, I think."

"Savoir. That's me. Now, we have to keep moving otherwise we might get caught. Grab your keys."

...

"So we've met before in the dark web?" he asked, pulling onto the highway and picking up speed.

"Yes."

"You? A top-notch grey-hat hacker?"

"Yes."

"Said to be the queen of hacking?"

"How many times do I have to stress it? YES!"

"You?"

"What? You can't believe that an innocent Asian kid is actually someone who has committed the most cybercrimes known to man and machine?"

"Oh, pulling a reverse card on me, eh?" He slammed on the brakes and I flew forward, hitting my head on the dashboard. Pressing the gas, he started laughing.

"OW! Goddamnit, Jefre! That hurt like hell! Why?" I said, clutching my forehead.

"Revenge tastes sweet like pure sugar."

"Can't it also be bitter like melon or orange peel?" I groaned, rubbing the sore spot. I jumped when I heard a phone ring.

"Scared much? Hit answer." I did. "Yellow?" (Dad joke)

"Hey, Lisa!" I froze, knowing exactly who that was.

"Don't respond," I whispered to him, moving to press END CALL when a loud PANG sounded out.

"Don't you know it's rude to hang up when you are talking to someone? Anywho, how are you doing?"

"Who's this?" Jefre asked.

"You don't who I am? Think of it this way: the next time I am seen by her, I am supposed to have a fully loaded rifle shoved in my ass and the barrel emptied into me. There's your hint."

"This is your sister?"

"No. My real sister died a long time ago."

"That's no way to speak to someone you haven't seen in a while. How did I die then, huh?" she taunted.

"You f*cked my boyfriend! How are you not supposed to be dead to me?"

"I just wanted to see if he was a good one for you-"

"A real sister would never try and succeed to be with my boyfriend to see if he was good enough for me. A real sister would know if he was a good guy. You just wanted him because he was mine!" I let it all out. "I know that it was 2 years ago but I still ache from it. I am sure that you would have felt the same way, especially if he told you that he loved you the day it happened! You would want to kill me and cast my body in cyberspace!"

"But I would have been willing to share mine! The fact you won't even share with your own sister is what made me want him!"

"I don't have to share everything with you, you selfish bitch!" A mock gasp sounded.

"I'M selfish? Why don't you tell Mr. Thompson what you think of him?"

"W-what do you mean?" I stuttered. She couldn't possibly have accessed my Digi-diary when I put a protective virus on it. How…

"Don't play dumb. We all know that you have a crush on him and you don't want anyone else to have him. Well, except for him himself."

"You do?"

"Ha! Who doesn't have a crush on you, Mr. Thompson? Girls would flock miles just to get a piece of you! Were you too focused on creating a family that you never noticed?" she purred. "Hell, I want you and I have a lower libido than my sister. Would you like to know of the fantasies she wrote about you? I remember one. It was in an empty classroom-"

"SHUT THE HELL UP! WHO TOLD YOU TO GO THROUGH MY STUFF?"

"Well, as a sister, I am supposed to."

"NO, YOU'RE NOT. BYE, YOU SELFISH, DEGRADING, LOW DOWN, GOOD FOR NOTHING BITCH!" I pressed END CALL and turned to the window. After a while, he finally said something.

"Do you wanna-"

"Shush. You're going to make this even more awkward than it already is."

"Well, if you answer this, I'll leave you alone."

"Fine. What?" I said, turning to him.

"What did you imagine it was like?" he said, keeping his eyes on the road. My mind went blank.

"What?"

"What did you imagine it felt like?" he repeated, turning to the side so I couldn't see his face.

"Why are you asking?" I asked, facing forward again. "Do you want me to say that it felt like heaven when you put it inside me, pushing and pulling until we both released?" I said, seductively slurring my voice. "Do you want me to say that?" I asked again. His ears were turning a lovely shade of mauve and his neck was nearly blood-red.

"N-no. I was just asking."

"You want me to describe it? The heat between you and me was so great that you were sweating like crazy, so much that it began to pool around the desk we were at. I moved to kiss you and you said that you were a married man and pushed me down. As it began to swell, you-"

"Stop before I crash the car!" I glanced at him and immediately started laughing. He was red and the pyramid in his pants was swelling.

"You have the imagination of many of the greatest writers, alive and dead. Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare, Herman Melville, J.K. Rowling, Homer, Lorraine Bradley (me), Christa Everhart(not a real person), Sharmaine Pinto (also not a real person) (If these are real names then they have no relation) even, although her works are… something."

"Don't criticize Sharmaine! What did she do to you?"

"She quit writing one of the greatest series of all time right before the series would be finished. She could have just written it and she wouldn't have had to deal with the diehard fans like me!"

"She said it was for a reason!"

"So? She could have just-"

"We're here!" he interrupted, pulling up close to a gate that opened.

"This is your place?" I marveled whenever he pulled up to the house. It was huge. So big, it made the white house look like a small cottage.

"In black gold, I have more money than all of the people on earth combined. In US dollars, I have about as much as the president of the United States."

"And you choose to be an English teacher?"

"Hey, sometimes you gotta be on the down-low when it comes to being one of the world's worst cyber-criminals."

"And your definition of down-low is to buy a trillion-dollar mansion that is so big on a map, your pinkie finger-nail can barely cover it?"

"Yep."

"You are ass-backward."

"Yep."

"Well, aren't you going to show me in?" I said, stepping out of the car.

"Ah, yes. Janis!"

"Yes, sir?" I jumped nearly the height of the house. A middle-aged woman with dark brown hair, dressed in dark green appeared out of nowhere.

"Where did you come from?"

"Well, when a mommy and a daddy love each other very much-"

"I know that part! Where did you appear from?"

"That is none of your business."

"She isn't feeling well since her husband died around this time three years ago. So she becomes… easily irritated."

"Why must you gossip? What did you call me for?"

"Could you show her to her temporary room? We aren't safe around her family home."

"Why don't we just let her wander around the halls and die of starvation?" she muttered under her breath.

"What?" he smiled.

"Nothing, sir. Right away, sir."

"Okay. Your mother told me you like dark themes, so while I was over at her place, I had them decorate your room to your preferences."

"Okay…"

"Follow me." she monotoned.

I followed her up what seemed like a thousand stairs and down a hundred hallways.

"Here is your room. Water is in the minifridge and your bot-cleaner comes on Thursdays and Tuesdays."

"Weren't bot-cleaners banned?"

"Yes. Sir built his own. The law doesn't say that you can't build your own."

"Good point."

"Of course."

Oddly enough, he wasn't lying when he said that he made the room to my preferences.

The bed was made of solid black wood and the sheets had a bleached skull on deep black background. The carpet was a solid black color and across the room, there was a deep blue bookcase with a few Digi-books on it. Pride and Prejudice, Great Expectations, one of Sharmaine's books, The Iliad, etc. Next to the bookcase, there was a mahogany desk with a rolling chair and a transparent desktop rested idly on top of it.

The things that stood out to me the most were the walls. On one wall, there was a picture of me at one of the school dances that we had, where I was wearing a short blue dress with a long coat that left a trail behind me. I remember he was the one who took that picture of me. I never realized how pretty I looked until I saw that picture. Damn you, mirrors!

On another, there was a picture of me and him laughing together.

Okay, let me explain this part: at school, we are close friends. We have been since I entered high school two years ago. He would always buy me food and flowers when I am sad (which is all of the time) and on Valentine's day, he would give me a kiss. Hershey, that is. One Christmas, he got me a book that was so old, I dropped it and the spine came off. It was a regular paper book, something you don't see commonly. Okay. back to the story.

I remember that picture. I was sitting in the lunchroom when he walked over to me, attracting all of the attention since he is the most liked teacher. He told me a joke that was so funny that milk came out of my nose. You could even see it in the picture. I won't tell you because it is absolutely cringy.

On the next wall, there was a picture of me and my friend Jessica striking a pose for the camera. I was dressed as a Chinese opera singer and she was dressed as Marilyn Monroe. We actually pulled off that pose pretty nicely.

On the last wall, there was the universal cheat code: up/up, down/down, left/right, left/right, A, and B. I smiled. It's an inside joke. You will have to figure it out later.

I sat on the bed and leaned back, taking in the scent that was coming off of the sheets. It smelled like him for some reason.

"Do you like your new room?" a voice said, causing me to sit up immediately and the M1911 formed in my hands again.

"Jesus-tap-dancing-Christ! Don't do that to me. You know I get scared easily!"

"So…."

"Yes. I like the room. I didn't think I looked that good until I saw these pictures. You should have been a photographer instead of a teacher."

"That's what Sarah told me and I said no." Sarah was the ex-wife that killed his children and cheated on him with his dad, just so you know.

"You know she actually didn't want to marry you."

"It is the same way with him you know." We both jumped.

"How did you…"

On the TV, my sister was sitting there purring like a cat that just got rid of its owner. At her side was a shadow of a tall man.

"Guess who's back, bitch."
