章 90: The Night of the Ball (Part One)

A small gasp of surprise escaped Roselyn's lips as she felt the soft brush of someone's lips against the side of her throat, causing her heartbeat to become even more rapid and her breathing to become more staggered. 

Both her brain and body knew immediately who it was and as her eyes hurriedly fluttered open, she was ready to confront the man but didn't get the chance as the entire world shifted around her for a couple of seconds before she felt the spell of the pendant settling over her and locking her powers away. 

Once again she was taken over by a very familiar but really uncomfortable and terrible feeling that made her feel sick deep in her belly.

"You..." she stared at River with a shocked and betrayed look but she got another surprise when the Prince planted a kiss on her cheek as if to apologize.
