"As for him and that stupid shadow beast..." Roselyn continued as she glared at Crown Prince Felix for another moment before her attention was back to Prince River. "... Neither did I approach your brother on my own nor was it me who went to buy a shadow beast for fun."
She pointed one of her hands in Xander's direction as she continued, "He was the one who took me to that shop and you still dared to point your bloody finger at me. You people from the Shadow Realm are really something. Blaming others for your own mistakes seems like your favorite hobby."
She lowered her hand as she let out a small chuckle that was devoid of any sort of humor. Her gaze didn't stray from Prince River even for a second all this while. "But thinking about it deeply, I can understand why you all are like this. After all, Shadow Realm is known as the house of treacherous, crafty, and malicious races. What else the world can expect from the likes of you?"
Was she going overboard? Probably yes. But she didn't regret saying even a single word that just left her mouth and slapped the men across their faces. After all that they had done to her, this was not even an ounce of what she wanted to repay them. Just how much she wished for Kaito to be there too, he too should have listened to the dark truth of himself and his realm.
"Roselyn..." It was Xander who spoke first and his voice carried a dangerous tone that almost succeeded in intimidating her. Fortunately, or unfortunately, her back was to her so-called guardian and that's why she succeeded in ignoring his warning.
"What? Can't you all even bear to hear the truth? How interesting." She wasn't ready to give up yet, especially when she knew that her words had succeeded in giving them a reality check.
"It's enough..." She heard Crown Prince Felix's voice from somewhere beside her and he sounded way calmer and soft than required at the moment. However, he got stopped before finishing whatever he was going to say as River suddenly stepped closer to her.
She didn't like the way her heart skipped a beat as the man stepped way too close to her than she liked. His icy blue eyes were glaring down at her with so much intensity and coldness as if he wanted to turn her into a block of ice.
"You better apologize for..."
"Really?" Roselyn could hardly believe her ears, the man still had the cheek to demand an apology from her while none of them remembered to do it themselves when they thoroughly ruined the peace of her life. "Don't think that you can intimidate me with that title of Prince of yours, Prince River. I'll never give you that satisfaction." Her words were just as chilled as his gaze and looking at his expression, it was clear that she had hit the mark.
She almost let out a gasp as surprise took over her when the man suddenly took hold of her elbow in one of his hands and pulled her closer to him, his grip was almost painful. "This is the last time I'm going to remind you to choose your words wisely, Little rose. Another wrong word out from that pretty mouth of yours and you will be in deep trouble."
The warning was loud and clear, and a part of her was pretty aware of how accurate it was. Nonetheless, she ignored it as well as she ignored him and whisked her hand out of his hold with such a great force that almost pulled her hand out of the socket.
"Don't you dare touch me! I'm sick of all of you touching me whenever you desire. So, keep your bloody hands to your... WHAT THE HELL, RIVER!"
Roselyn shouted in panic as the stupid Prince suddenly pulled her into his arms, locking her against his muscular body, and before she could have tried to push him away, he teleported them away from the living room.
The feeling of passing through the void was gone within a blink and she found herself standing inside a bedroom while River stood right in front of her.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" She asked the man but didn't really expect him to answer. It was clearly written on his face that he was beyond pissed at her.
"I warned you to choose your words carefully, little flower, but you refused to listen." He spoke while stepping closer to her which immediately made Roselyn step back as she tried to keep distance between them as she didn't trust her traitorous body whenever he was too close to her. She almost felt like melting into his arms every time he touched her even though her brain was fuming with anger.
"What wrong did I say? Is telling you all to stay away from me and not touch me against my will, something wrong? I don't think so!" She was still burning with anger even though her inner self had started to realize that it was time for her to back down if she wanted to avoid his wrath.
"Are you forgetting that we are soulmates, Princess? You belong to me." His voice was raspy and full of possessiveness that made Roselyn forget everything else other than him for the moment.
He closed all the distance between them and stood right in front of her as he continued, "I don't care how you treat the others but for me, I want you to know that you are mine. Unless and until I break this bond with you, you belong to me, Princess Roselyn."
"In your dreams." Roselyn retorted in response. "You can never own me... mmph!" The rest of the words were snatched from her mouth as his lips suddenly crashed against hers in a fierce kiss, one that immediately took away her breath.
