Alienation, the ritual of god bestowing the soul to the living for forming their Will. Left quite the shock on Kaye. Until in his previous world, he believed, there was nothing like a god, or if it existed, it must have been an evil one. Who forced all the living beings to a definite fate without leaving them any choice.
The reason for his belief was the thing called laws of Nature, which couldn't be changed, or if ever altered in some way, then there had to be an establishment for a new set of rules such that those alterations could be justified. All the living beings were made up of the same matter as their surrounding nature (Atoms).
If the laws of Nature couldn't be changed, it meant living beings must follow them as Nature does, without any exemption. And if they thought they were doing something of their own accord, but it was actually the whole Nature forcing them to do so, as if it was their own Will.
Their minds were made up of atoms, energy flows through them as per the laws of Nature. Speaking more abstractly, one thought leading to another, so no one even has control over their own thoughts. That's why one couldn't change his/her fate. The only possible thing which can contradict his theory was the existence of the soul in living beings, which could act as a catalyst to make the decision at a particular instant in time over some given situation, giving them control over their actions. But there was no proof for the existence of a soul, hence his belief that everything was destined to some fate, with one having no control over oneself.
But after watching Alienation, he came to enlightenment, the inhabitants of this world have their free Will to do whatever they want to. Which made every single thing possible if they were determined enough at that thing, and even can surpass the limit of their physical bodies. Now Kaye understood why Theo acted the way he did.
The event left quite a conundrum in front of Kaye. Whether I can bring back dead alive or not, if absolutely anything is possible, then this must also be possible, isn't it? Can I bring back people from another world who were dead? Ahh... His chain of thoughts ultimately led to one particular one and only goal and leaving him restless.
Unfortunately, he forgot the stepping stone just to wander in an unknown path. When they were both heading back to the Armory, he saw some children using magic. His train of thoughts rolled back. Wait a second! First of all, can I even change the laws of nature like inhabitants of this world can do? That is to say, am I capable of using magic.
Next day Kaye decided to go to the guild to check his magical aptness. He wore a fully metal plated armor with a long sword, having natural color of the steel. It was very uncommon for a commoner to have a full plate metal armor.
Even the army soldiers don't wear them, usually Adventurer or Knights are more suited. But since Kaye forged it there was no problem, and it is not like he was having any enchantment on that armor. To other people he looked like a muscle head. He was dressing so not magician like.
The Guild was located at north-east side of the city almost fifteen minute distance away from the City Center. The reason guild was build there because it was more up close to the forest from where adventurer and hunter can dispatch easily.
His build was improved since he practiced the few sword technique every day, and the sword on his waist not hanging there for show only. The Obvious reason it was not the katana, but a simple sword forged with high carbon steel, because Katana was too good for his level of skill.
He reached the guild. Although he had been here many time before, but he felt something different within him.
I will again be part of an organization. Recognized by its members, like a social people as you wanted me to be. he thought.
The guild was like a manor, or perhaps it used be one, because it was surrounded by huge yard. In the left side of the yard trees stood in line, they were turned into archery range because the targets decorated them. He entered the guild but a thought flashed in his mind.
I don't have any status like these people, if I try to register as an adventurer whatever their status checking method is, it would definitely fail on me.
He approached the reception there, people were in line, and the receptionist was a girl wearing formal dress attending people there. Soon it was his turn.
"How may I help you sir?" she asked.
"I am here to check my magical aptitude." he replied.
"Ok sir! You need to go to first floor, first room on the left there." She smiled and replied.
"He must have practicing meditation, if he is asking for a magical aptitude test." said the boy who was sitting on the waiting chair in the reception hall with his party, he was 25 year old. He was also wearing a fully steel plated armor. Blue tainted look of armor showed its high quality. His name was Vinyul.
"Nah! I just think, he is here to find whether he has enough mana capacity in him to use any sword spells with his sword skill. He looks like a swordsman to me not a mage." A man said from another side of the hall, he was sturdy, 6.5 feet tall, age almost 38 years old. It really is a pain that one can't see anything about his own magic abilities like other skills and title appears in the status. The man wondered.
Kaye ignored all of them sitting there and headed towards first floor.
Everything within his expectations, the stairs didn't make any creaking sound this time like it happens in the forgery. He knew even he is in iron-age with magic and swords, but these big enough cooperative offices and associations must be maintaining their buildings.
In the room there was a boy for reception. There was no crowd at all; it showed people didn't usually come for magical aptitude test.
"I presume you are here to take the magical aptitude test." the receptionist asked.
"Yes, what am I supposed to do?" he asked glaring at the balls and all the glass wear. It was his first time seeing a magical instrument this big.
In that room five glass balls were laid down on the table, and in front of the table a podium with two palms imprints on it.
Those balls must represents the element a mage can control he thought black for space, white for light, blue for wind, yellow for fire and lightning, brown for earth as it is written here.
"Ok sir! You must put your palm on those imprints at that podium, to check which element you are most adept with. The balls will glow and show a number, the numbers on the balls will represent your magical prowess for that respective element as written below the ball." the receptionist said.
As expected.
Kaye did as he was instructed, as soon as he put his hand on the imprint. Kaye's expression became speechless, his heart began racing fast. Even the receptionist was surprised. Because nothing had happened, the balls without glowing showed zero on the face.
"Sir let me check if the appraiser is working or not." receptionist put his hand on the imprint.
As he did the yellow ball started to glow and showed 45 on the ball. Kaye's heart sank down.
How can this be possible, he doesn't have a single bit aptness for any element? I haven't ever seen anyone like this. receptionist wondered.
"Sir Can you put your hands one more time on the place." he asked.
"No, I believe I am done here." he said in low voice.
He returned to the ground floor, after finding out that he is inept in magic, he was sad and frustrated. His emotions were apparent on his face.
The man with sturdy build watched Kaye's face and a grin appeared on his face.
"Hey you, what happened to your magical aptitude test?" He reached Kaye and asked? His name was Ohmrul.
"Leave me Alone." Kaye replied in low voice.
The girl who was in the Vinyul's party spoke "Oh here we go again; he just loves teasing isn't he."
The other boy in Vinyul party nodded his head. His expression was gloomy he understood what about to happen. Ohmrul's was a class B adventurer, his type sword warrior. He really wasn't the type of person who bullies other people, but he just loves to tease them.
"Ohmrul don't you have anything better to do?" Vinyul said.
"Common Vinyul, I was just trying to console him." he puts his hand around Kaye's shoulder.
"Are you looking for a fight?" Kaye said while watching Ohmrul's hand on his shoulder.
"Aren't you overreacting boy." Ohmrul didn't remove his hand and whispered in his ear, trying to scare him. But he affected Kaye in a different manner, his frustration turned to anger.
"Yes I am! Let's go out and see what your thoughts about it are." Kaye shrugged Ohmrul's hand and said in a chilling voice looking directly in his eyes. Kaye's height was short; he really had to look up for performing that act.
Even if Ohmrul loves teasing and not bulling people, but Kaye also stirred him up. It is far above what he can tolerate. It was just like challenging him to fight, and obvious enough he had no reason to refuse.
"Then how about the Arena behind the guild, is it Ok for you?" Ohmrul pointed his thumb backwards.
Kaye didn't reply anything, just started walking towards the exit which led to Arena. To his action Vinyul and his party members were surprised, and Ohmrul stood still watching him. Because the group had the exact knowledge of Ohmrul's capabilities, he was rank 26 of the entire 156 class B adventurer registered in the city guild.
On the other hand Kaye didn't look that strong. The matter of fact they were seeing him for the first time, although they visited guild very frequently.
Let see what he is capable of Vinyul thought and tried to appraise him.
Magical skill: appraisal, cannot be applied.
As a result a virtual scroll appeared in his mind showing the message.
As expected, so he is at least powerful enough to hide his status, then again Appraisal doesn't work well on living thing most of the time. Vinyul put his hand on his chin and thought. what about his weapons.

Oh that is much higher stats you got on those items. It is almost half of my weapons, and those items are also quite rare. I really want to see now what can he do? I won't be interfering until things go crazy after at least he got some advantage at weapons. Vinyul's eyes started gleaming as he pondered.
"Are you coming or not." Kaye said without watching backward.
"Grrhhh.." Ohmrul gritted his teeth in anger and followed him.
Why he is so dead set on fighting Ohmrul? I can see he is sad, but i am feeling bad about him now. This boy is really going to get himself hurt. Vinyul couldn't help but wonder. He picked up his two long swords, equipped them on his back and followed them to the Arena.
The arena was 30 meter wide in diameter, Vinyul and his party members set on the onlooker's seats. Both Kaye and Ohmrul stood two meter apart from each other between the arena.
"Are you ready boy!!" Ohmrul asked clenching his broad sword; it was 6 inches broad and 4 cm thick in the middle, but it was a simple sword.
Kaye nodded griping his sword in front of his eyes, posing like a Knight. In response Ohmrul raised his sword straight up; it took him no time to do that and slashed vertically.
When Kaye saw Ohmrul raising his sword straight up, he raised his sword to right. And when Ohmrul slashed it, instead of slashing his own sword against the Ohmrul's, Kaye took one step to his left, lowered his sword and supported it with his shoulder. He looked as if he is casually leaving from there, putting his sword on shoulder. Sparks appeared with screeching sound. Kaye's action led the Broad sword slide on his own sword.
Both the swords were tipping on the ground on single point then.
He is good! He deflected that strike or rather dispersed its force to the ground. He got some skill. Vinyul was thrilled.
As I thought he is weak, he deflected instead of taking it on, i will hit once again. Ohmrul thought.
Ohmrul quickly raised his sword again, but Kaye didn't even lift his sword. When Ohmrul sliced down, Kaye sliced from downward to upward from where it was laying forming a complete 180 degrees curve, which removed Ohmrul's sword from his hand.
He let go of his sword and punched Ohmrul in shoulder, but his hand hit two swords forming a cross in mid-air in front of Ohmrul for saving him.
"That's enough!" Vinyul said his face full of astonishment and fear in anticipation of what would've happened, if he hadn't interfered with his own swords. Every other member was shocked about what just happened.
The reason for Vinyul interrupting was the swords. Both Kaye's and Ohmrul's swords were lying on the ground attached with each other. When Kaye sliced up the sword, its force plunged his sword into Ohmrul's sword half way through in its width, until its width became too thick to go any deeper. It would have been a lethal blow if he hadn't stopped Kaye from punching Ohmrul, and Vinyul as one of the guild staff member couldn't allow murder in premise, specially a civilian. Ohmrul absolutely knew his limits where to stop, but that punch might have initiated the basic instinct of Ohmrul to use his sword spells and Kaye would be dead.
"I can understand you are sad for some reason, but venting your anger on others isn't the way to face the problem. You could have died if Mr. Ohmrul used his sword spells." Vinyul said.
He through his wits and maturity made it in the guild staff in such a young age. The reason he was able to see through Kaye.
Kaye's eyes became widened, realizing what he has done. Vinyul's words reminded him of Ava. The anger he harbored instantly became guilt.
Is sword spells are that powerful? Then I need to practice more. he thougt.
"I am Sorry." he detached his sword from Ohmrul's and started walking from there. Both Vinyul and Ohmrul amazed from sudden change in his behavior.
"Wait a minute! As I see you have calmed down, may I know the reason? Why you are so sad?" Vinyul asked.
"It's just that... recently I came to know there are things which i could do with the help of magic, which I never thought of before was possible. So I took the magical aptitude test and found that I don't have even a bit affinity for using It." he said in his melancholic voice.
"Hey now, don't lose your will to fight. So what if you don't have affinity for magic, I had the same problem. Once it was the time i too had zero affinity for wind magic and 1 in every other, now it's over ahh.. Well I didn't bother checking it again; i just practiced it more and more once I got it. Now you can see those swords floating aren't you?" he said. "Just concentrate on visualizing it through meditation."
Vinyul's words rang like a big bell in his mind and I was so focused on controlling the nature using magic that I forgot, I already am a being which existed out of this world. Ever since I have arrived to this world, from my very first breath to current deeds are all not natural for this world. I too have my free will don't I. And my strength is unreal too isn't it. He thought to himself and his face became brighten.
"Yes you are right; I lost my calm for nothing. Sorry once again Mr. Ohmrul" he said putting his hand on his head in embarrassment.
Watching the changed behavior Ohmrul couldn't complain about it and left the scene as well as the other party members of Vinyul.
"So now, it is my first time seeing you here. Are you not an adventurer?" Vinyul asked cheerfully.
"No I am not." he replied and sheathed his sword.
"My name is Vinyul, I am an adventurer as well as one of Recruiters here. Tell me your name, let me help register you. How about starting from Class B last rank?" Vinyul was happy that he found someone so talented with sword skills.
"My name is Kaye, and I have a question for you. What about my status? You haven't checked it yet." Kaye queried.
"What are you talking about? No guild comply you to show your Skills or Titles. You see it is very unreliable to judge a person's strength just on the basis of his skill. Status exists to assisting our own growth. Besides who would want to show their hands to the enemy before even fighting? You are so low on basic, must have living in boonies till now." Vinyul filled in lots of information for Kaye. Although I did try check yours. He thought.
I thought it would be super-suspicious to not have status. I haven't even thought of this possibility at all. I caved myself for three months, making minimum contact with other people. The reason I wasn't able to build common sense. This is the chance for me to explore the world and find another possible way to achieve my goal. All and all he seems like a good guy. Kaye thought.
"I guess I don't have any problem registering as an adventurer then." Kaye replied.
They both came out of the guild's main office after Vinyul registered him as an adventurer.
"So how about you join my party, now that you are an adventurer." Vinyul formed a smile.
"The only issue would be I work as an assistant in a forgery." Kaye said regretfully.
"No need to worry about that. I don't do adventuring all the time. Whenever your schedule is free, just come here searching for me, how this Idea sounds to you." Vinyul was hell-bound on adding Kaye to his party.
"Everything will be fine then. I am looking forward to work with you." Kaye replied.
And just like that Kaye made his first friend in this new world, and set himself a goal which was absolute impossible in his previous world, to revive Ava.
I think I should talk now.
Here's a request from all the readers and author reading this.
I am really an amateur, I most probably wrote max 50k words from the time I started writing as a hoby. So I need all of your thoughts on what I am writing is good enough to read or not.
if you spot any grammatical or typos mistake please comment on the paragraph.
And your comments are the huge intake, I basically jumped in my house all over telling my brother sister what am I writing is being liked.
In the morning Kaye cleaned the shop and he noticed something, there were exactly the same number of swords present as yesterday. Just then Theo entered the shop from the inner corridor.
"Master wasn't Mr. Gelki take his sword yesterday?" he asked, Kaye wasn't here yesterday.
It's been quite a few days since Kaye registered as an Adventurer. When he went to guild yesterday for collecting ores; he found, as usual, there was no message from Vinyul.
"I closed the shop-front after you went to the guild," Theo replied, opening the back door.
"But master, we have to give Discount. According to contract It is whole 3 silver coins. Mr. Gelki won't pay the set amount." He said in surprise, because they can usually sell four magic swords in a month. That is to say if both of them worked at their best. Each sword almost takes one week in forging, selling price ranges from 8 to 10 silver coins.
The late delivery discount was quite big this time, because Mr. Gelki was on visit to Taartini. Today was his schedule to leave the town. And he has to pick up the sword from forgery which is in the opposite direction.
"It's Ok! We don't have to be so stingy about maintaining financial balance." Theo replied.
"By the way, the reason I had shut the shop was The Katana," he said and opened the wardrobe. He pulled out a sheathed Katana. But it was not the one Kaye made.
"You have completed it," he yelled in surprise.
"Yup I have, haven't I?" Theo said cheerfully, watching his creation.
"Let's then start putting them on guild's weapon-showcase from today onward." Kaye wanted to start selling Katana.
"Kaye let's hold it right there. The thing is, it is created by your technique. I believe it's your heritage to hold. I can't take that from you."
Theo handed over sword to Kaye; his eyes were telling he was fully satisfied after forging one Katana.
"Once it will go out there, surely it will become quite popular. But also there will emerge its exact copies. You see a tool made by someone with a unique technique is not easy to replicate. But when you are a true smith, you can feel what that weapon's been through or precisely how its creator made it, he deciphers all the intricate details like a beast hunts its prey. And as time will flow generations won't remember you as its true creator. A true heritage is held by its own dynasty only." he said in a quite serious tone.
Oh boy, Master is getting pretty serious. It's not like I can file a patent for its forging method or can I? Kaye wondered.
"Master it means we won't be able to sell it for forever," Kaye replied nonchalantly.
"About that, there is a ritual to form a pact with your weapon or any tool you made. Which basically seals every possibility of its being copied except asking the true master for its privileges, hence not impossible," he said and looked at Kaye.
"The weapon under the pact can't be discerned for its technique. It is so powerful that if someone made the same weapon with the same technique even with his own ability. That weapon will show the name of its original author who first used that technique to forge it, whenever appraised." Theo explained very gladly.
Whaaaaat! And just like that, one ritual wiped out all the patent offices as well as piracy from this world and without even any relent. Kaye thought, he was so amazed that his mouth was left agape.
"Regretfully… Even if I know how to perform the ritual, I don't have the liberty to teach you that." Theo said watching the sword in Kaye's hand.
"After all that, we still can't sell the sword," Kaye said.
"I want this heritage to be held by you and you only. The only one who can teach you the ritual is any one of the dwarf king, and only after testing your forging skills. This is a blessing which is given to dwarfs by Lady Synthia: The Goddess of Creation, so nobody is allowed to teach it other than any of dwarf king." Theo replied.
The first god I ever heard about in this world. I wonder how many are there. Kaye thought to himself.
"I am sure one day I will take you to my village. So don't worry." Theo said patting Kaye's shoulder.
He is dead-set on making me the owner of a Japanese traditional sword forging technique. Kaye nodded watching the passionate Theo.
"Master I have to go to the guild and I won't be coming back for few days, I am going to take a quest for sure today," he replied.
Afterward Kaye left the forgery, he was wearing the same armor but with Katana this time.
Kaye was heading towards the guild Whether he'll be there? If not, today I will take upon some request and go on my own. Just to have some experience. wondering about the possibilities that could take place. I wonder what kind of requests and quests will be there on the guild's request board. Hunting wolfs, finding a rare gemstone, or scouting some caravan. The source of his curiosity was his training which he has been doing after the duel with Ohmrul every day.
He was walking the path in his rhythm of spiraling thought chain.
"Hey Kaye!" Vinyul called him from behind. He was wearing his usual armor.
"Oh! You are here; I was just heading towards the guild. Let's go together." Kaye said.
"If you are planning to go there for taking up requests, don't bother," Vinyul replied.
Has he already kicked me out of the party? Kaye wondered, and was about to ask the same.
"I took the quest so let's head to the tavern. We will talk about it there." Vinyul said, showing request roll in his hand.
What we'd be doing, just tell me already? rebuked in his mind.
Vinyul noticed the unusual shape of the sword Kaye was holding and appraised it.

"Hey what's with that weird sword? It's absurdly rare and offensive for a non-enchanted sword."
"It has to be I made it myself. There is only one more, so there you have it."
"You are that good in forging, to make a new type of sword all by yourself. I am jealous now." Vinyul said gawking towards the sword.
Vinyul led him to a nearby tavern. It was huge a building and lots of hustling-bustling can be heard due to people inside. When they entered, it was nothing like what Kaye used to see in the town. There were lots of adventurers with Jolly expressions on their faces, talking about their deeds and drinking. The vivid colors in their dressing and weaponry they were holding completely showed the difference from commoners out there. These are the people who save the population from Wild Magical Beasts out there: Adventurer. Kaye saw two familiar faces sitting at a wooden oak table. They were the party member of Vinyul.
"Hey captain is here, Kaye too." The girl said in a voice full of joy. She was wearing a black robe. Her robe's sleeve was too wide, just like her black hat's brim.
"Ah.." Kaye tried to greet them too, but didn't know their names.
"Her name is Prickina, and she is a mage. This is my friend Hedwick, he is also a mage type. But he is also quite capable in swordplay." Vinyul introduced them, and all settled on the table.
"Now about the request it is Class A. You better brace yourself," Vinyul said.
Class A! Everything is going as I expected. It is just going to be some giant slaying yeahhh!!! Come on out with already. He will be doing what he used to do in the games, but for real this time, he tried to be excited in his mind. He played lots and lots of games. He loved the thought of making his own world, so he learned programming, use of game engines and one day started making indie games. It was Ava who brought him out of that solitude life and let him experience the real world outside.
I can sense he is happy, but still it feels like he is in pain. Vinyul thought looking towards Kaye. No matter how much Kaye tried to explain himself that he was happy now, but his composer always gave him away.
"We need to help Lord Al-Geika in completing his son Erick's funeral." Vinyul finally uttered the word breaking all of their curiosity.
Both Hedwick's and Prickina's expression became grim while Kaye filled with shock.
What's with this world today? It gave me two big shocks. The quest was so out of his expectations he got a big shock from that.
"Those rumors were true then, this quest is quite difficult," said Prickina.
What! How can helping someone to conduct his son's funeral prove to be difficult? Kaye thought.
Al-Geika was the Lord of Alpheni, a city close to Taartini. Both Prickina and Hedwick heard the rumors that his son tried to get bark of the Giant tree while passing from there. But Kaye didn't have a single clue what they were about to do, and he was too reluctant to ask anything cause it may reveal his out of world identity.
They reached City lord manor in Alpheni city. It took a whole 8 hours to get there. The manor was so huge that Taartini's guild didn't hold a candle to it. There were lots of trees in the garden area which were randomly grown giving them a natural look. The manor built from bluish rocks showing its uniqueness. The Lord's personal butler suggested letting a single person meet with the lord because he was in such a measurable state due to his son's death.
After resting the next day Vinyul and the party were heading in the forest near the city. Kaye and others were waiting outside while Vinyul met Lord of Alpheni in his chamber, so he was still confused about what they needed to do.
"Would you please consider bothering yourself to explain to me what we are about to do?" he asked finally couldn't able to hold his curiosity.
"Oh we forget you didn't know about the rumors. It is just that Lord Al-Geika's son Erick tried to take a piece of bark from the Giant tree, which usually serves as the home for wild-elves and he got himself killed. We need to retrieve his body." Hedwick replied.
Ohhh it is quite sad but should I even ask why they didn't bother to eat him. No they will fill me in either way.
"We need to first cremate Erick's body while defending from all their arrows. Once Erick's body will be cremated the wild-elves would lose their intent to save their food from us. Then all we need to do is pick up the remains and return it to the Lord." Vinyul explained all of the details to them.
So they eat humans but haven't eaten his body yet for some reason, let see what else I can find. he thought.
"Let me ask, wouldn't they just eat us instead of the Lord's son if we do that," Kaye replied.
"Oh I forgot! You are from boonies. They are herbivorous, they won't eat us." he said it like that's the most obvious thing.
Why the heck are they planning to eat a human then? Kaye yelled in his mind but didn't ask, he thought he will get the answer.
"They just eat anyone whoever tries to harm their sacred home, as a tribute to The Giant tree. So basically when we cremate his body, their motives will be to chase us despicable Sentians out of their home as soon as possible, who ruined their purpose. As long as we don't harm The Giant tree there is no need to worry." Vinyul said, looking really exasperated.
Yet another one The people I have been living with for almost four to five months are Sentians not humans! He a completely different race all along Hahahahahahaha... Kaye was going all crazy in his mind.
"Wouldn't they have eaten him already then?" this time Hedwick asked.
"Don't be like Kaye, and try to study for once. They usually bind the food for 10 days from the Giant tree to get its blessing, and such that people wouldn't dare come again to deface their home." He said, greeting his teeth.
Vinyul was completely annoyed answering all their questions, while Kaye was having complete blank expression on his face.
Finally the giant tree came into view, after they breached the dense perimeter of trees around it. It was almost 250m tall, trunk alone was 50m wide. Although it was so gigantic but they weren't able to see it, until they entered the stadium like a wide area around it. Its four big roots projecting into the ground holding it up, making a cavern-like structure underneath it. It was shadowing whole are, spreading like a mushroom all over the place.
In the middle of that cavern-like structure, something was hanging with the help of a rope. It was looking like a cocoon from where they stood.
"Can you see that thing, hanging in there? That is the son of Lord Al-Geika. We first need to cremate Erick's body and make our retreat." Vinyul said.
"Kaye and I will be the attack front, defending Prickina from their arrows. Hedwick you'd be defending our back by your shield spells. As soon as you find it in range fire the spell Prickina. We will retreat after it will start burning. After the body will cool down we can just pick up the remains from there. They wouldn't attack us, as long as we don't try to do anything to the tree." Vinyul diligently explained the plan.
As they started walking towards the tree, all the wild-elves came out from the holes which were in the tree's trunk. They were all mostly one foot taller in height from an average dwarf. Their blue slippery skin shining in ambient light, their ears were pointy and long but hanging loosely, and their eyes were blue. All of them wearing clothes made up of animal skin. There would've been hundreds of them in the tree's trunk only. May be thousand and more were crawling throughout the tree's branches.
"Don't try to attack them. If they sense any harm from us, then all of them would attack at once instead of defending their food." Vinyul told them. Watching his party members react suddenly.
Kaye unsheathed his Katana, Vinyul's two sword floated out. As they entered the cavern a hail of arrows came towards them. But not a single wild-elf came down from their position.
Vinyul was surprised, because both of them were deflecting every single arrow coming towards each of them. Kaye was waving his sword like a martial artist playing with a pole but 3 times faster than that and he was having only one thought in his mind Because I am a human and they are sentians.
While Vinyul's swords completely transformed into spinning fans. Hedwick was also having no problem at all; his shields made out of pure magic were impregnable.
Soon they reached close enough to the hanging body of Erick, although it was 10m above them.
Prickina pointed his wand towards the body and shout out loud " [KAARLINIA-RHEKSHTA] ". It initiated a spell, which conjured a ball of fire, and shot like a meteor towards the body and fired it up. The hail of the arrows stopped suddenly and all the wild-elf started screeching, staring at the party with a look of despise in their eyes.
"I guess they are done attacking, we have done it. Let's wait here then." Vinyul said "It is completed quite easily, they say once these wild-elves killed 20 B Class adventurer who tried attempting the same feat, I guess we had extra help." he thought looking towards Kaye.
"Captain did you see Kaye's skills, it was unreal," Hedwick said.
They chatted about fight but Kaye didn't participate in the talks, he just watched them blankly. After a few hours the body cools down, all of its bones were lying down beneath the point it was hung. They collected the bones and headed back towards Alpheni.
The city Lord showed his gratitude towards the party, and buried the bones of his son. But Kaye was avoiding any discussion since the point he got to know that these peoples are Sentians not humans. When someone talked to him, he replied with words like 'yes', 'i see' etc.
The reason for his behavior was, he got the reason why he can't use magic and wasn't able to see a way how he would use magic.
I don't know what to say
