The air inside the President's office was quiet, a contrast to the hustle and bustle outside of the company building where the nightlife of the city folks had just begun. 

Her steps were silent as she walked inside the lounge, heading toward the bed. She was cautious when she approached the man.

Shouko switched on the table lamp on the bedside table. The faint orange glow instantly illuminated the dark lounge, making it clearer for her to see.

Kyoya was sleeping toward the other side, his back was facing her. From this angle, she couldn't see what was the expression on his face. Even so, Shouko couldn't help but feel her heart ached to see him like this.

She slowly lowered her body and sat on the bed. Her brows knitted together once she saw how troubled he was in his sleep. Low grunts occasionally escaped his lips whenever he took a sharp breath in.
