章 104: You like Juan?

"Juan?" Mother Mei called as she hurriedly stepped out of her room to see Lijuan enter with Jackie. 

"I'm sorry mother." Lijuan said as her mother embraced her very tightly but the book remained in between them so she quickly broke the hug.

"As long as you're okay, it's fine. We were so worried about you." She said as she touched Lijuan's face. 

"What are those?" Mother Mei asked looking down at the books even though she knew what they were.

"Books." Lijuan said with a wry smile. 

"Why did you buy so many books?" She asked in confusion as she took one of the books to look at it. 

Lijuan laughed awkwardly as she thought about what to say. 

"Well... they belong to Vice President Yun. He asked me to help him keep them." Lijuan said.

Mother Mei gave her a look which told Lijuan she didn't believe her but she didn't press on and turned to Jackie.
